The property was not well maintained and appeared old and worn out. The bathroom drainage was poor — water did not flow out properly. The fridge in the room was not cooling as expected. Overall, the room conditions could be significantly improved

The team is excellent — warm, welcoming, and always willing to go the extra mile. However, they do need some polishing in their communication skills. On the day we arrived, we were provided worn-out and torn linen, and the previous guest’s belongings were still lying around. The bathroom was stinking, and I’m not sure if the exhaust was functioning. Though the team cleaned our room well afterward, the linen issue still needs urgent attention. They should also consider scheduling regular window cleaning, as it affects the overall appearance. Otherwise, the public areas are well maintained. Breakfast was great.

Reception staff of the hotel need to be improvement, for giving checkout bill print taken more than 20 min, very bad Food quality, never book this hotel with food options, there is so many good restaurant near my hotel. Room cleaning also need to be improve. overall experience is very bad.

The stay at country inn Manipal was excellent. I stayed in the suite room and it was amazing. The food, ambiance and the overall stay was top notch. I want to mention the staff over there gave us an amazing service and helped us in every aspect. They are the real stars.

Hotel is budget friendly and good located in easily accessible road. I have checked in at 2:00AM. Staff support was good at odd hours. No one will assist you to show your room. But for 2600 rupees my expectations was even lower. Hence the service standard is justified. Rooms were in very good condition. Colour scheme of hotel is very attractive..I will recommend for budget stay

I stayed at Ginger Hotel, Mangalore for 3 nights and had a comfortable experience overall. The property is well located, making it easy to access the city and nearby areas. The ambience of the hotel is modern and pleasant, and the rooms are clean, well-maintained, and comfortable for both business and leisure stays. The staff were polite and services were satisfactory, ensuring a smooth stay. The only shortcoming I noticed was the lack of seafood options on the menu, which is surprising in a coastal city like Mangalore. Apart from this, it is a reliable choice offering good value for a short or extended stay.

Location was very good. Room was good as well but they should provide washroom freshener. Food and in room dining facility were good. Overall a good budget friendly hotel

no phone connecting point found at the room or in entire hotel. buffet option was very limited and over charges. No local taxi tie ups.

Room is very small, bed is not enough for 2 adults and a kid.Wifi not provided. Food is good. Nearby to beaches.

Poor room maintenance, not at par with the price charged. Should have been better. Food is good but there are less options in the buffet.

IHCL should stop Ginger hotels or call it an AC lodge. It’s not even close to 1star and we end up paying premium 3star charges. Location was okay if you want travel outskirts or Udupi. Room was dirty, broken interior, bathroom is pathetic. Staff is not cooperative, broken spring mattress. You need to call them many times but they don’t respond well. Breakfast was low quality. Restaurant food was expensive but not good. Overall I will call it a lodge, not great for family vacation.

Pros: Good location, Amenities such as AC/TV/Mini Fridge/Tea-coffee maker, Comfortable bed, Parking. Cons: Small room, Poor Wi-Fi, Smelly room, no proper maintenance of the building furniture, dining space and waiting lobby in a common space- pretty congested, Kept us waiting for table to dine

Terrible stay, most horrible experience. service was too bad , I have to remind them 3-4 times of biscuit things like water towel kettle etc, fan AC was also not working properly. I decided not to book hotels. I room was changed from twin smoking to non smoking non rain bed without my consent.

Staying at Ginger serves for the basic purposes of sleeping or eating during your trip. There were a few improvement points to highlight for sure. (1) RFID door lock cards never worked. The staff always had to come to unlock our door. Which was frustrating after having a tiring day roaming around. (2) Sharp corners or edges of interiors in the room which are highly unsafe for babies or kids. The rest of the aspects are good. So, go for it if you are okay with the above points.
