The Hive Wayanad

1. Property location: It was a little inside from Kalpetta main road and having an own vehicle is a plus as it would be convenient for visiting nearby places. However, the property justifies itself the reason to be nestled among a good forest cover. 2. Food: Dinner and breakfast was buffet. They had good choice of options to pick from. The restaurant food charges were also reasonable. While we had complimentary breakfast option for 2 Nights. The lunch was à la carte with avg. dish price to ~300INR (2025). The dinner buffet was 750INR +taxes. Overall, the food was good with a moderate taste with precarious usage of spices, sweet. 3. Amenities: From the moment of arrival, you will be completely submerged into the greens and it is very refreshing to stay inside the property. The mornings are serene and the entire property (spans 6 acres) has jackfruit, coconut plantations around. Amole forest cover. There is a good amount of monkey friends :) 4. Services: The entire staff property is very accommodating and cheerful. They brought an additional cheer to stay. Always available on the call and ready to serve your requests. The in-house staff also arranged us Bon-fire, High-tea, Evening engagement activities. They are very courteous staff. I can say with confidence that it is because of this strong staff the property is very well managed. Eg: Clean pool, towels, garden area, well maintained walking path. Lastly, we wanted a very leisure get away and this property ideally fitted our requirement. Since we didn’t want to move around Waynad, staying in the property ideally suited our needs.

Our experience with The Hive Wayanad was nothing but exceptional. Everything was on point, from Check in, food, service, room to check out. The rooms are on steep hill from their reception/parking, but they have a shuttle cab service, which was always promptly available when requested. We checked in on a weekday during off season (20 March 2025) and hence, we were the only occupants in the property. Despite being the only guests at this huge property, we were given excellent attention for service. They also asked us if we wanted a born fire, to which we denied as we were very tired. We had some problems with their hot water, but it was promptly fixed when informed. We had booked the room with plunge pool, which we had expected to be unclean as my experience with other properties of similar kind was okayish. But to my surprise it was ultra clean, I could even see the tiles at the bottom. As the plunge pool is without roof, it tends to get some leaves etc, but they cleaned it during room service. As we were alone, they did not prepare a full fledged buffet breakfast, but specially made everything fresh for us whatever we selected from their menu, served hot on table! In short it was a delightful experience. Highly recommend this beautiful property.

Highlights :- 1.Pleasant climate and a comfortable stay—even in April! 2.Excellent room service that made us feel at home. 3.Delicious food, with breakfast being a real standout. 4.Beautiful infinity pool and cozy campfire experience. 5.Great recreational options: a scenic viewpoint, cycles, chess, carroms, and more. 6.Friendly and helpful staff throughout our stay. Areas to Improve: 1.If you're traveling from Kalpetta, beware: Google Maps might suggest a wrong route that leads to a dead end. A heads-up or signage would help. 2.The infinity pool could be more spacious, and a separate children’s section would be great. 3.The TV setup could use an upgrade—larger screen and access to Netflix/Hotstar would enhance the in-room entertainment.

It's a lovely property nestled amidst lush greenery, offering stunning views of the Wayanad hills and surrounding forest. The food is decent, and the staff are very cooperative. However, they could benefit from increasing their staffing levels. The cottages are located at varying elevations, and the terrain is quite steep. To assist guests, the property operates two cars continuously for transportation. That said, if you're up for a bit of cardio and don't mind walking, even better. I absolutely loved my stay. Note: Last 1.5 Kms drive to the The Hive Wayanad is steep and the car would need power from the engine and skills from the driver :)

Enjoyed our stay at Hive Wayanad. The best part was the fantastic view of the woods from the balcony – very serene. Breakfast was also quite good. The resort offers a peaceful environment. It would be even better if there were more activities offered dirrt, as it's not immediately close to major tourist spots.

Thank you for the awesome experience and much needed peace and break from my routine life. The place is well mantained, superb staff, serene and with a v good view. Perfect stay for those looking forward to cut off from the daily hustle and those who want to stay and enjoy the property and its eminities.

Great location, it’s upward the hill so you need to park your vehicles at the entrance. They have their own jeep that takes you to your room. View from the rooms are amazing, breakfast was good too. Overall we loved our new years here. Great pool beside the restaurant.

The location is the best situated in the heart of forest and pleasing environment to stay and food is also good

From the The Hive Wayanad staff to the property to the rooms, everything was top notch. It has an uphill pool, fish feeding pond and even a star gazing spot.

Nice ambience, room is good, staff service is excellent but food is very expensive (not expected) and they have kept dry nuts in each room, we thought its complimentary but at the end they charged for that also.
