    Good Stay

    The best thing about Combermere is its location. A stay there is worth it solely because of that. The Hotel Combermere lifts take you directly to Mall Road. The restaurant and Sol Brewery are well managed, and offer good service. Other than that I don't think there is anything remarkable about the Hotel Combermere. Their in-house restaurant is underwhelming, and so is the quality of their breakfast. The rooms are soft 2* at best. For a Hotel Combermere that faces public spaces, keeping two layers of curtains should be a no brainer. And yet, the room we were allocated had only one heavy curtain. So even during the day, you had to keep it drawn for privacy. The price you pay for the room is largely because of the location. That's all.

    Good stay at Hotel combermer

    The Hotel is overall good. Cons: 1. The centralized heater is not that effective in cold weather. For snow, forget it, when the outside temp is 4 degrees, it will give you manageable heat. 2. A separate heater is not provided for anyone even if need be. This should not be the case. 3. The amenities like snooker table and all are paid; they should be free. Pros: 1. The location is good and easily approachable. 2. The view is amazing. 3. The rooms are very clean, the Hotel Combermere is nice and the cleanliness is top notch. 4. The Hotel Combermere has good helpers and staff. 5. The Hotel Combermere has lifts so even going to the mall road is easy and private, which is difficult for other Hotel Combermeres.

    Best location on Mall Road — think Shimla, think Combermere. Hotel Combermere offers one of the finest stays right in the heart of Shimla. Their service is incredibly fast — whether it is food or room service, they are there almost immediately. If you truly want to experience the charm of Mall Road and its surroundings, this is the perfect place to stay, as Shimla’s life and activity revolve around the Mall Road area. A wonderful Hotel Combermere and my personal favourite for the last 25 years. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Shimla. Thanks.

    I am very grateful to the Hotel Combermere staff for helping us at night 12 am in event of medical emergency. Special thanks to security guard Narender for all his help. Hotel is very neat and clean, very good location, nice staff. However in case of medical emergency we do not get cab after 11 pm, so that can be a little challenging.

    The overall experience was really great. The access to the Mall Road from the Hotel Combermere is pretty darn good. The breakfast was much better than I was expecting (they did have Sausages and Bacon) and the staff was very polite and well trained. Highly recommend.
