New Moon of Kashmir Houseboat

When we arrived at houseboat we were just given 1 room in main houseboat with other room shown to us in a different and almost shattered houseboat. Since we were 4 and seemingly the houseboat was double booked we were asked if we could be accommodated in just 1 room, which we had no option to deny as there was literally no alternative and for security considerations we had to stay together in a room which 1 double bed and 1 single. We were told that they would return the fare of 1 room back to us as we just occupied 1 room though we had booked two. This has still not happened despite repeated follow-ups, request mm t executives to intervene. Also, there were lot of infrastructure issues in specially bathroom with issue with door-lock and electric current in water. I would thus request mm t to review the houseboat and take it off mm t as it does not meet basic necessities. The good part of the stay was the home cooked food and the staff helpful nature, but other than that the whole experience was below standard. ( double booked rooms, broken bathroom fixtures, electric shock in water, and cheating by owner by not paying dues. Etc )

The rowdy houseboat owner barged into our rooms in an inebriated state & assaulted us physically, abused us, threatened to kill us if we do not vacate his premises just because we didn't want to take a shikara ride offered by him & instead had booked another shikara in a reasonably amazing deal compared to what this goon was offering us. He finally thrashed us along with his other accomplices who he claimed to be his uncles living next door, even their ladies attacked our females & abused them violently. We, therefore, had to call the local police & got the fir registered against them. He was booked under multiple sections of the indian penal code. If the local police hadn't come to our rescue timely, we would have been manhandled for sure. The worst part was that the mm t took no action despite reporting the horrendous incident to them even after sharing the fir copy with their management & they continued to support those goons & left us stranded without helping us to accommodate elsewhere. Is this the standard of mm t that you risk people's lives by accommodating them in life-risking places? woe unto you. Is this your module of fair business practice & standard operating procedures?
