KTDC Kumarakom Gateway

I recently stayed at KTDC Gateway Kumarakom and had a truly pleasant experience. The property is beautifully located right along the Vembanad Lake, offering stunning views and a serene atmosphere that's perfect for relaxation. The traditional Kerala-style architecture adds a unique charm, blending well with the natural surroundings. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with all the essential amenities. While not overly luxurious, they are certainly comfortable and offer good value for money. The lakeside cottages, in particular, provide a peaceful stay with beautiful sunrise views. Staff were polite, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and hassle-free. The restaurant serves decent Kerala cuisine with a focus on local flavors—do try the fish curry and appam. There are options for boating and bird watching, which add to the appeal, especially for nature lovers. The location is also quite convenient for exploring the backwaters of Kumarakom. except that it is main Kumarakom area where the luxury brands are present, KTDC GATEWAY is set in the most scenic spot - bang on the Bund with the lake waters lashing its compound and the Thaneermugam barrage providing a backdrop. The lake side rooms were well appointed - clean, nice bathrooms and with good bed and linen. The staff courteous and ready to help. The food was nothing to complain about, breakfast was a good spread with the fruit platter missing.

This property is very beautiful on the banks of backwaters. Rooms are fairly ok for a small family. You might not like the buffet spread if are used to a regular 4 star rated property. However, if you’re looking for a quiet place to unwind with family, you can definitely consider this.

I had a wonderful stay at KTDC Kumarakom Gateway, Alleppey. The location was peaceful and scenic, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I especially enjoyed the delicious Kerala-style food. Highly recommended!

Had a stay here on Sunday. The location is good, landscaping was awesome. Room was clean, AC was working fine. Food was also awesome. Overall, a good, pleasant stay. I recommend this if you’re looking for a place to stay overnight when you’re nearby Vaikom, which is value for money.

KTDC Kumarkom located adjacent to amazing back waters, excellent location, wonderful hospitality good food at reasonable rates. We had a fantastic stay. We love to re-visit the place opting for lake view rooms facing backwaters 👌

The room was neat & clean. All amenities were provided. Morning breakfast was excellent. The only drawback was that dinner was not good and could be improved. Good location & property well maintained.
