Badrinath Temple
Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, was established by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century AD.
Located at 3,100 meters along the Alaknanda River, it is one of India’s Char Dham pilgrimage sites.
The temple houses a self-manifested one-foot-tall black granite idol of Lord Badrinarayan in a meditative posture.
The temple complex comprises three main sections: the Garbhagriha (sanctum), the Darshan Mandapa (worship hall), and the Sabha Mandapa (convention hall)
The sanctum also features images of Kubera, Narada, and Uddhava alongside Lord Badrinarayan.
Temple Timings: 6:00 am to 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm
