HOBBITON KODAI

When I reached the resort the manager, was drunk. There was no electricity in the room neither was the generator switched on. The lawn outside the room was unkempt and overgrown and was being mowed making a big noise. The room has no intercom and it’s so remote that phone network is not available. No way to get in touch with anyone for anything. O reached the resort at 4pm and the generator was switched on only at 6.30 after repeated complaints. It was switched off again by 8pm and I had to spend the night with no heater or light. The food provided for dinner had sauces which had gone bad giving me any upset tummy. The washroom jet spray was not working neither was a bucket provided if needed. Finally o booked my tickets back two days in advance. After complaining to Tony and stating all of above I was told that o would get refund of the 2 days I disnt stay due to early check out.

Good experience, food and amenities was great , services were excellent

They should improve their food options and quality specifically the breakfast options and include atleast idli, dosa and sambhar as everyday options for vegetarians. Room was well equipped with good space and comfort. Property is fabulous with awesome view. They also allow pets and have personal open space for each hobbit room so pets can roam around freely. Overall a good experience and could have been better with more food options.

not worthy for the money.. food was high cost think twice before going

Complete electricity shutdown, 1st night electricity was cut off at 1am, 2am their generator dies off, next 48 hours had to stay to force their pseudo manager to turn on the generator. about the co-owner Tony - He took additional 5k for time adjustments of checkin for a day when India and Pakistan were in war. Food is pathetic, the kids around prepare beef for a veg guest. I'll post the menu that was shared

Hi I’m Shabz….one day I scrolled over my insta and saw a reel which shows Hobbiton kodai…the same day I booked Cz I was stunned by the PRJECT HOBBITON.The road routes were very good ,smooth, safe , beautiful( poombarai).No words we can put to fulfill - the ambience,cleanliness,restroom esthetics,Responsible staffs,particularly that esthetic washbasin for the common eating area,swing,cute windmill at our backyard,the selection of wall colours acc lights and decors …The archie and Er of this project are dope …u can’t unlove even a single brick over there …Thank you HOBBITON for my wonderful pleasant unforgettable experience…MUST TRY 100000/10

stay was quiet decent and peaceful no mobile no gadgets spend some quality time with family only 4 rooms so feel like house it's inside the deep forest almost 2hrs travel from kodaikanal. the travel will be worth.only drawback food nearby also no hotels . staffs are friendly and supportive. it's worth for one day staycation
