Hotel O Demadzong

The owner of the hotel was good but the service boy took extra money from our dinner by providing us fake bill, which is really bad.

Hotel is really good - room wise, service wise and food wise. Located on good point for view. But it is too far away from Gangtok. There are no doctors, no shopping or anything around the hotel - itÂ’s in jungle. ItÂ’s expensive to travel to and fro to Gangtok from the hotel.

The hotel location is in remote and around 24 kms from Gangtok main city, but the hotel and its services can be compared to that of a 5 star category hotel. Their staff provide an excellent service to all the customers and make the customers feel at home. The standard of rooms for normal category can be compared to that of a Suite.

Bad experience, the worst hotel that I had ever stayed in my life, no lights, no water, it goes frequently and tip of that the food was too expensive, even the 5 star rated hotel wouldn't charge that much, pathetic road condition and wrong location in their map, as they have showed near Gangtok but in real its 27kms away from Gangtok capital and the road condition is horrible, not satisfied with the hotel as well as with the bill that they charged me for small meal, it was really a bad experienc

Room is clean, very good experience but room rent is so high facility good, overall are right, we enjoy every moment food quality is good very. Communication just 2 k. M from bus stand. Almost it was awesome experience.

Service is not up to the mark. Staff are rude and highly unprofessional. Isolated location for those visiting Gangtok. Very poor connectivity and nothing much to see at Rumtek. Taxi service is very bad. I wont suggest anyone with family to go there.

Room is very good. Location of the hotel is not good we had to spend more than Rs 2000 daily to reach heart of the city for my work and the address was not given clearly in your website and in booking slip. Food and room service was very good. Staff in the hotel is very good and helpful, gave us very good service.

Location is superb. Clean rooms with all necessities. Polite and prompt room services What else one requires when in a vacation ... So go ahead and book one for yourself. A bit far from the mall road ...

Hotel is located 24 kms away from Gangtok. The access road is extremely bad and at times dangerous to travel and its muddy some where. Not at all connected to the city. Rooms are neat and good enough. But hardly any proper service is provided. We had booked it for 3 nights but checked out in 1 night itself. Its great for horror movie shooting but not for tourist to stay.

Very good condition room. Very good behavior managers & staff. Hotel looks like a star category. Location is very piecefull & silent place. Food quality is very nice, fresh, tastey. Totally squared area.

Water, electricity and staff problem in the hotel. Water problem was the most irritating as there was no water to wash face also. Have to cancel next day booking because of this. Will suggest to stay in Gangtok and make an up down arrangement to Rumtek.

The hotel was nice, the people of the hotel was more better.. It is at the top so the weather is awesome... The Rumtek Monastery is near to the hotel and it's very nice.. The food is also nice.. Value is money is fine...

I did not stay in this hotel because the hotel's location on the website showed Gangtok but it is actually in rumtek which is an hour's journey. When I asked the management about this they said it cannot be cancelled nor they could do anything about it.

Nice hotel & very good service & staff's are very supportive. Rumtek dzong is looking very good & lake view is very pretty. My wife & kids are very impress for staff behavior & hotel is situated as very high hill so their views are very nice. We are recommended to all person to stay in rumtek-dzong.

It was a good hotel with great service and a very pretty location. The scenery was breathtaking. It was really a very road, the scenic and serene environment added a lot of value. The room was absolutely awesome it this price point.

The hotel is budget but the staff is very cooperative, they understand the guest needs, do the best to provide services. Overall nice stay. Front office people are very nice and supportive. Food is nice.

Location staff service is fantabulous. They make sure your stay is indeed wonderful stay. Home away from home .. Mornings are the best .. Awesome view of Gangtok. Cloud covered mountains .. Picturesque view.

Good things first. 1. The hotel is located at Shanti Viewpoint and offers a good view of Gangtok city. 2. The infrastructure is good. And the main issues. The hotel is located almost 26 kms away from Gangtok that means for hill driving you will be losing almost two and a half hours commuting even to begin your sightseeing and ofcourse loads of extra money if you dont want to use shared transport 2. The hotel has been taken over by another person from its original creators who don't seem to be professional and only want to extract as much money as they can providing frugal facilities. 3. Makemytrip shouldnot show it as a three star hotel as it is not. I had booked through makemytrip app as it showed this hotel as a three star property. I even tried to get a refund but they said sorry and per force I had to stay in this hotel. 4. Forget about good facilities, you have to struggle even for basics like water and electricity. Yes. We got a shock when we checked in late at night in the hotel when there was no electricity and it looked like a bhoot bungla with candles lighting the reception. There is generator but the manager(so called) won't run it. He will even try to dictate terms on when you should take Bath with hot water. Not much options for breakfast or dinner. 5. The evenings are dull in such an isolated place. Please avoid.
