Dear makemytrip customer service, i am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and frustration with the experience i had with my recent hotel booking through makemytrip. I had booked a stay at palette-hotel chennai le palace from august 1st to 4th, 2024, as part of my planned trip from delhi to chennai. The booking was made on july 1st, 2024. ( amount - rs 10, 384 ) after waking up early at 6 am to travel from delhi to chennai, i arrived at the hotel at 3:30 pm on august 1st, only to be informed by the hotel staff that the hotel was fully booked and they could not accommodate my reservation. Despite having a confirmed booking, i was denied a room, and the hotel staff explicitly stated that this issue was the responsibility of makemytrip, not the hotel. I immediately contacted makemytrip customer support and was kept waiting for over three hours, with no resolution provided. During this time, i was left stranded on the road with my family, facing significant distress and uncertainty. Despite numerous calls and interactions with various representatives of your company, no effective solution was offered. Ultimately, i had no choice but to book another hotel on the spot. As there is an exhibition going on in chennai from 2nd august to 4th august most of the decent hotels were already booked. On finding a decent hotel near to my venue ( chennai trade centre ) it cost me three times the amount of my original booking. ( amount -rs 33613)

The room was clean, spacious & amenities were also present. Food quality was all good!

During my stay at the hotel, i enjoyed a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring all my needs were met promptly. My room was clean, spacious, and well-appointed with modern amenities. The hotel’s location was convenient, offering easy access to nearby attractions. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring a diverse selection of delicious options. Overall, it was a pleasant and relaxing experience. One problem even after asking they have not provided the electric kettle.

Worst experience in my living time, we have booked 27hrs before the checkin, but not confirmed the hotel, that hotel receptionist said booking id not reflect, suddenly i phone coversation with mm t team they give alternate residence, but we visit the residence but its a rest o bar, how its a possible, what the huge diff bw leela palace and the bar, suddenly i connected mm t team for the cancellations, he said supervisors not available the time arrange the dayafter morning, i told briefly explained its not our problem, kindly look-into the matter seriously, yesterday we gave checked v7 hotel 2rooms 5000 only, they told no one receiving from mm t team, but your team members said they are not lifting call, i said we are in the hotel in front of reception i will the mobile u speak and confirm, they told not possible, i have all the screenshots the re-booking the hotel fares, so much of difference hotel and mm t, your team members conversation not satisfied, so last night huge of suffered, so you do full refund of the booking, otherwise we will got o legally, consider our suitation of last night and do the needfull

Receptionist lady is worst. Keeping her face as terrible. Asked for water at night 9pm they gave at morning

Kindly note that they told me they didn't have booking confirmation from make my trip, hence i waited midnight at hotel with my daughter for 2 hours. It's really bad experience in the hotel

Ambience is good. But dirty floor in washroom. Not properly cleaned. Bedsheets were dirty. Staff refused to give bill in the name of my company as i booked through make my trip. Business travellers better not to book this hotel through mm t

Hotel and rooms are good but food service is not up to mark. Staff seems to be not trained & tend to avoid customers or their instructions.

Food has a very low taste. Staffs are good. Ambience little good car parking ok. Outside noise coming from the corridor.

It was an amazing stay. The property was entirely amazing. I had a very cozy stay and the staffs behaved in a well organised manner

Front desk staff behaviour was very rude. We reached the hotel around 10am and check in time was 12am. They had rooms vacant and still did not allot us any room and they asked us to pay rs 2500 and when we requested that it is about only 2 hours they kept denying. And then they started saying no room available. Overall behaviour of the staff was very bad. They did not even let us take a nap sitting at couch at the reception. We had very early morning flight and we were tired, while waiting for the check in we fell asleep sitting on couch and the staff came to us shaking us badly and saying you can’t take nap here. Never seen such behaviour.

Good to stay nice hotel but check in process was very very worst i waited more than 35 mins in reception

Front office is too busy front office person has no courtesy to welcome from office person has not taken any responsibility to take care of my issues and concern

Rooms are good and service also good, rest room very clean and highgenic, room view is good, staffs are very cool

The food was excellent, the places are neat and clean, only minus is too much noise from neighbour room. No noise controlled walls between the rooms

Not so great they room service was quite delayed every time. No water today for both due power issues no back arrangements even though the hotel is fully occupied
