We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Ovi Cottage and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A big thank you to our amazing host, Sushant, who went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect for us. His hospitality truly made the difference, and we highly recommend visiting this place to experience it for yourself. When we arrived at the Matheran parking lot, Sushant came to pick us up personally and even helped carry our luggage. We were initially hesitant about walking to the cottage, but his assistance made it much easier — and honestly saved us time compared to taking an e-rickshaw. During the sunset walk, he even carried our infant both ways, which was incredibly thoughtful and kind. All of his suggestions were aimed at helping us get the most out of our trip. The food at the cottage was simple, homely, and delicious — just what we needed. I’d definitely love to come back and stay here again. As for the property itself, it’s around 2 km from the parking area. You can either walk or, if you're traveling with kids or elderly family members, consider taking an e-rickshaw. Each cottage has its own balcony, and the rooms are well-equipped, including air conditioning. Overall, it was a peaceful and relaxing stay. The food was another highlight of our stay. The meals, including breakfast, were absolutely delicious! It was so good that we didn’t feel the need to go out for any snacks or meals—everything we needed was right there. The comfort of home-cooked meals really made our experience even more cozy. As for the accommodation itself, the rooms were exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The attention to detail in the room was clear. There was a TV with all major OTT subscriptions like Prime Video, Hotstar, and more, which was a great touch. Everything in the room, from the amenities to the electrical fixtures, worked flawlessly. The best part of our experience, however, was the welcoming nature of Sushant and his family. They truly went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. It’s rare to find such warmth in a host, and it truly made all the difference. Overall, Ovi Cottage offers a perfect blend of beautiful surroundings, incredible hospitality, and comfort at a very affordable price. I would highly recommend it to any couple looking for a peaceful getaway. It’s an absolute gem of a place, and we’ll definitely be back!

I booked this cottage for a one night stay with my parents after looking at the online reviews. Trust me, you won't regret it. The view was next level, and the homemade food was worth it and tasty. The family received us very well, especially Mr. Sushant hospitality was amazing. He called us many times to guide us on our way and also to the nearest viewpoints. The room was cozy and warm. Overall, Matheran was great, and this place made it even more 😍 beautiful.

The cottage is situated around 2 km from aman lodge. In mm t application, it's mentioned only 100m from matheran railway station which should be corrected so that any new customer coming to this cottage is not confused. Overall the stay was peaceful and homely, the owner of the property has received and treated us well. I would recommend anyone to come to this cottage and experience the serene beauty of the mountain. 5. 5
