Janani Niwas | Matheran

Our stay at Janani Niwas in Matheran was nothing short of amazing. The hospitality was warm and welcoming, making us feel like part of their family. The homemade food was delicious and comforting, and the room service was excellent. During our visit, the owner's daughter was celebrating her birthday, and they even invited us to join the celebration. Although we couldn’t attend, the kind-hearted aunty brought us complimentary food and a piece of cake—a truly thoughtful gesture. The rooms were clean, hygienic, and reasonably priced, offering great value for money. If you’re looking for a cozy and affordable place with exceptional hospitality, Janani Niwas is a perfect choice. Highly recommended!

The cottage was neat and clean with an extra mattress, bedsheet in case of any extra guest or in case of need of one. The stay had home made food options with reasonable cost, the food Served was hot and good in taste, even my kids had yummy filled puri bhaaji. USP of the cottage, there is one sightseeing point ( Myra Point) which is walkable from the stay and best thing is the sunrise view. Geyser facility for parents who are traveling with toddlers/kids is the best. Even the e-auto service and matheran station is just about 500m away and the cost of the stay is a small pinch to your pocket..will definitely recommend it to family and friends. It was a peaceful and breezy stay in Matheran.

Janani Niwas 4 Star property Family, friends and couple go for this without any doubt . location is good and peaceful homely.15 minutes walk from Aman Lodge station, room is clean and well furnished, food is tasty and owner very helpful

Wonderful stay, location good, food so tasty like GHAR JESA KHANA, service was excellent and caretaker Mr Narendrabhai is so helpful and caring, must stay and budget friendly, much better than costly cottages, enjoyed a lot at Matheran

Definitely worth it! Cleanliness, hygiene, amenities, everything was to the mark. Especially, the food was so delicious and homely. The host and his family were so humble and overall the hospitality was very nice.

Property clean, spacious and comfortable as having AC. One nearest point at backside with breathtaking view. Must to see in morning before sunrise.
