KTDC Kumarakom is a serene getaway nestled in the lap of nature. The ambience is truly unmatched – calm, quiet, and surrounded by lush greenery. The resort is right on the backwaters, making it a perfect spot to unwind and soak in the beauty of Kumarakom's rich ecosystem. One of the highlights of our stay was waking up to the sounds of birds chirping and spotting various species, including kingfishers, herons, and even egrets, right from our room's verandah. Nature lovers will absolutely adore this place. The location is excellent, offering beautiful views and easy access to local attractions like the bird sanctuary and nearby village walks. It’s an ideal place if you're looking to disconnect from the hustle and reconnect with nature. The buffet breakfast and lunch were delicious, offering a mix of Kerala specialties and popular Indian dishes. However, the only downside was the lack of à la carte or regular dinner options – only the buffet was available, which may not suit all travelers. A word of advice: try to avoid visiting during the rainy season, as heavy monsoons can limit outdoor activities and dampen the overall experience. Overall, KTDC Kumarakom is a peaceful, scenic retreat with good food and warm hospitality. If you love nature and tranquility, it’s well worth a visit – just pick the right season!

I had a wonderful stay at KTDC Waterscapes Resort, Kumarakom. The location is absolutely serene, surrounded by backwaters and lush greenery, offering a perfect escape into nature. The traditional architecture blended beautifully with the natural surroundings. The cottage-style rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with a lovely sit-out area to enjoy the view. The food at the in-house restaurant was delicious, especially the Kerala-style dishes. The staff were polite, attentive, and always ready to help. Facilities like the swimming pool, nature trails, and birdwatching added to the overall experience. Highly recommended for those seeking peace, relaxation, and a touch of Kerala's authentic charm. Would definitely return!

The location was peaceful, private space for each family. Clean rooms. The only cons I saw was the food. Evening snacks were provided like counting on each of the biscuits, and an extra snack. Then when I inquired about dinner, it was a buffet which was much higher than the usual dinner buffet. We are a group of 15 members and we went out for dinner within 1km and saved almost 70% money with a variety of dishes of our choice

It was pleasant stay , The location of the resort was perfect , right on the back water with easy access and stunning views . The staffs were incredibly friendly ,helpful and attentive to our needs throughout our stay . Service was prompt and efficient, making our experience very smooth and enjoyable , Rooms were clean , comfortable and well equipped with all the required amenities.

we planned 2 nights stay at this beautiful property. It is located in such a picturesque location. well maintained property and hospitable staff. Food provided is of excellent quality. So glad that KTDC has maintained such high quality standards. Birds sanctuary is within the property. Had an amazing stay and looking forward to visit again soo

The stay was excellent. There were frequent power cuts in between and the wifi was slow. We had lunch from the in-house restaurant. The menu was a buffet with very few items which seemed to be overpriced. Breakfast was good. Everything was excellent. The view and the place was awesome

Property is well maintained, including rooms, lawn and large swimming pool. Staff is cooperative. A separate pool for kids is available. Food quality is average; very high price. The buffet breakfast was average. Variety of food items in buffet can be improved.
