Overall it was an amazing experience at Cocobay starting from entry on a boat till the seeoff. Resort is very cozy, clean & tidy, spacious and offers a spectacular view of backwaters with an amazing variety of Kerala food . Offers good WiFi, it’s very natural and services are really good. Need to improve on breakfast variety probably . The day we were checking out, was strike day Nation wide resulting in cancellation of our cabs to airport from Kumarakom. Hotel staff being really supportive, went an extra mile in helping & arranging one on a very short notice !. Thanks for an amazing stay, me & my friends absolutely loved it. I highly recommend this resort

Hotel location is good. Amenities are also good. Room service is poor, particularly connectivity like phone etc. Intercom didn't work while at our stay. In-room dining facility also poor. Food is average. Location wise we preferred this hotel and availed amenities like pool etc which are satisfactory.

Not worth mentioning the experience. Food and front desk was better though; Rusty dustbins, stinking towels; but cleanliness / Linen / room service was pathetic. Dish was served, but had to ask for fork and spoon.

Not value for the money, after spending lot of money booking the hotel we had to spend more after checking in and it’s not worth. For omelette they charged 200. And the food were not cooked properly and the hotel is in Chippendale not in Kumarakom

1. Property is different from the one booked. 2. Single Room provided as against 2 rooms. 3. Room ambience not as described/booked. 4. AC not working. 5. Attendant not available. 6. Pickup location is different. 7. Drop location is not at any designated place. 8. Also there was no documentation of check-in and check-out provided, even after asking for the same

Location is a bit solitary. Services can be improved and food can be better. Food served was not of good taste and was cold. The place is very lonely and takes a long time to reach. There is nothing nearby, no shops or any sort of entertainment. Good for people who just want to distant from everything and relax.

The Niraamaya Retreats, Kumarakom is nestled on the banks of the Lake Vembanad with lush tropical gardens set around 27 luxurious
The rooms were named after spices in Malayalam. I was staying in the room titled "Jathikka". The rooms did not have much of a view except one that had a balcony overlooking the lake. There were 5 rooms in the property but we had booked only 4 of them hence the manager opted to lease out the 5th room. I have liked the property.

We took the houseboat on Feb 14. We had the entire houseboat to us. The staff was super nice. Good service. Food was average. Beverages prices were ok. We docked in a resort at night, which was average. Rooms were nice. All in all it was like any other houseboat except jacuzzi (wch we didn't use) and slightly bigger bedrooms. Also we had complete privacy in the houseboat, wch was the best part.

Overall it was a beautiful experience .. Must visit during July end .. Climate was amazing .. Staff were friendly .. Food was good .. Rooms were extremely clean and well maintained. The GM (Sudan and Venkatesh) was also friendly and helping, they helped us in visiting other places by arranging cabs at a pretty good price with decent drivers. Spa is a must if you wanna experience the real Kerala Ayurvedic Massage.
