Garggi Village Homestay | Rooms & Caretaker

A calm and refreshing escape to Garggi Homestay, Kumarakom 💚 Huge thanks to Mr. Rajesh, the coolest and most experienced host, and the lovely caretaker sister for their warmth and hospitality. The peaceful backwaters, cozy vibe, and homely food made it a perfect break from my hospital routine as a Physician Associate. Truly a nature-friendly stay worth revisiting! 🌅✨

It was a pleasant stay with backwaters view from the gate, very beautiful garden but little away from the main town. Rooms are smaller than what they look like in the photos, atleast from what I assumed, but the entire stay was open to us because of no other bookings so wasn’t much of an issue Other issue was less food options but you can order from swiggy which takes an 40-45 mins to arrive.

Location is ok, food and rooms were not up to the mark. Rooms were very smelly.

good place owner was very good responsible person, worker also very helpful, but morning breakfast was very very simple only one item served

The room was neat and tidy but, Cleaning team failed to remove the body wash soap who used the room last time. The main BEDROOM (glass room) doesn't have AC, but the small room has AC. even though there's no door between the room, cold wont reach the glass door. the single bed placement should've been in much proper place like, it would fit better on upstairs.

Everything was good except few communication related issue due to language barrier And Tree House stairs are bit risky.. No people who can shift guest luggage to the rooms

Sheets not clean, blanket not washed between guests, smells like sweat. My bed had a colony of ants. I slept with bed sheet on. The rooms are not super clean, dust gathering in corners, bathroom needs slippers. The river facing room is shaky (shakes with wind. View is nice and hosts are gracious. It is overpriced and i liked the people and the view is really nice but they surely need to pull up their socks. This low bar of service should be unacceptable.

Average homestay experience. Nothing great. Rooms are congested with minimum amenities. The property needs beautification and maintenance. Breakfast average

no one available after 7 pm bathroom is very small, no shower in bathroom, only mug and bucket available, food preparation is awful

We stayed here for 2 nights, very pretty location and properties. Home cooked food was delicious and authentic. Hosts were very welcoming, the property manager was helpful she catered all our needs. There was slight confusion in billing of food order but property manager took care of it. I recommend this stay to others.

The homestay is a perfect place for a getaway in serene nature and the treehouse overlooking the canal a small piece of paradise on earth. The hosts are very accommodating, helping you navigate your stay at their best possible.

Excellent food and view from the homestay but the room was very small and also an electric kettle was a must which was missing

The property is located by the back waters. The food was great! the host helped us book a shikara ride as well.

Good atmosphere, and wonderful hostess. Good food. We reached late night but the hostess was there to receive us. The complimentary breakfast was delicious

Property owner is very nice person, but the room is very congested. Not enough place, bathroom is very small, no soap/handwash, water scarcity, provided food is not sufficient, tv - no use, overall, not worth for the money

The atmosphere and the ambiance were awesome, and the service was also good. Overall we had a great experience with our stay.

Good location and lush green campus. Very friendly staff. Helpful caretaker. Arranged food and boating. Neat and clean washrooms

The property location is good its just near the water. We booked a houseboat with the help of the owner, it was a nice experience. The host is very good, enjoyed my stay

The location was excellent next to the backwaters & most of the sightseeing places in kumarakom highly recommended
