JJ Cottage

good... nice place to stay, keep and calm

Very clean and comfy place. but the corridors were a little small but all together a great stay. the restaurant and bus stop was nearby and everything was available in 200 m radius. really liked the location and property. will visit again.

It was a great experience, it was our first time in kerala, jj cotttege's staff are good, room was quite clean, it is easily approachable to the bus stand, which is a few metres away from the jj cotttege. We met soni, a very good boy, who gave us contact with his friend sudarshan (auto wala) who made our trip even better.

Bahut acha room tha, bus stand ke pas hai or bahut saaf hai near to bus stand ,good for couples veg hotel bhi paas me hi hai , garam pani ki suvidha bhi hai

The cleanliness, co-operation from the owners was good. It was a spacious room with a good view. The stairs are very small, but won't be a worry.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 days. Very poor room service. They didn’t clean the room, they didn’t change the bedsheeths, bad smell in the room.

Location of jj cottage is best suited for me because it is located at old munnar, walking distance from ksrtc bus depo. At walking distance you can start the tea plantations trekking. The rooms are great, though if you are someone who can't climb the stairs then it would be a problem for you, otherwise this is great place to stay at munnar. Do not mistake the property with the exterior view, it is very beautiful once you go inside.

We stayed for 5 nights. Very clean and well appointed room. Very helpful and nice host family. Would stay again.

My stay at the JJ Cottage was excellent. It's a value for money kind of stay. Family friendly, high quality service and a very kind host. They even allowed us to keep our luggage at the reception table after the check-out time. Upon request, they also arranged one auto for us for our internal commute in munnar. The overall experience of the hotel was nice and highly recommended for family 😁

I must say that my stay at the j j cottage was exceptional. The owner family managed this small gem perfectly. Let’s summarise my trip into points. Strength: 1. Cleanliness: the room, bathroom, and common areas were spot on clean. 2. Bed, towels and the bed linen were comfortable and clean. 3. Room was compact yet the interiors were done nicely. I guess the rooms are great for solo or couples only. 4. The bathroom was aesthetically pleasing with 24*7 hot water. 5. They have parking for two cars and bikes. It’s a small parking but at-least one member will come to assist you while parking. 6. It’s very close to the bus and rickshaw stand. 7. Good food places nearby on a walkable distance. 8. If you are a reader then they have a great collection in their library. Weakness: 1. It’s 2km from the main market if you want to go shopping. 2. No other amenities other than the library. This place is great for the people who are on budget trip. I booked this cottage at the last minute since there were no hotels available. And i must say that i made the right choice. I would like to thank the family who managed this great cottage for a wonderful hospitality and warmth.
