i had an absolutely wonderful experience at vala resort, cherai. i truly loved everything about this place – from the peaceful, calm atmosphere to the warm and welcoming hospitality. the view from our room was beautiful, and the kayaking experience was a real highlight. but what truly made our stay special was the exceptional service. the staff were all kind and sweet, especially one gentleman – mr. su… (i didn’t catch the full name). he was with us throughout, helping us with everything we needed. his positive smile and calm presence made us feel extremely comfortable and cared for. there’s also a common kitchen available for guests to cook their own meals – something we didn’t know about in advance. but once again, mr. su… came to our rescue and helped us buy food from a nearby shop. his support was incredible from start to finish. the breakfast was delicious, and overall, the service exceeded our expectations in every way. more than just a resort, vala resort offers heartfelt hospitality, and i would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable getaway. thank you for the amazing experience!

The sound of the rain, the misty greenery, and the earthy aroma in the air made the whole stay feel almost magical. The property is beautifully maintained, and the rooms are cozy, clean, and tastefully done. Waking up to the gentle sound of rain and birdsong was something special. The hosts were incredibly warm and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed. The local food was a standout — fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. Despite the rain, getting around was easy, and coming back to such a calm and welcoming space each day was the highlight of my trip. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape, especially during the rains, Vala House offers a soulful experience you won’t forget.

vala house near cherai beach was the perfect peaceful getaway! the calm atmosphere, beautiful lake view, and tasteful design made it a truly relaxing stay. the rooms were clean and comfortable, the service was excellent, and the breakfast—cooked with love—was absolutely delicious. we also enjoyed the homemade lunch and dinner, which were fresh, flavorful, and felt just like a warm home-cooked meal. special thanks to savinoy for his amazing support and to chechi for preparing such heartfelt meals. kayaking on the backwaters was a definite highlight! if you're looking to unwind and recharge, vala house is highly recommended.
