Vala House is a peaceful retreat tucked away in the lush surroundings of Kochi — a true hidden gem! I visited during the monsoon, and what an unforgettable experience it was. The sound of the rain, the misty greenery, and the earthy aroma in the air made the whole stay feel almost magical. The property is beautifully maintained, and the rooms are cozy, clean, and tastefully done. Waking up to the gentle sound of rain and birdsong was something special. The hosts were incredibly warm and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed. The local food was a standout — fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. Despite the rain, getting around was easy, and coming back to such a calm and welcoming space each day was the highlight of my trip. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape, especially during the rains, Vala House offers a soulful experience you won’t forget.

vala house near cherai beach was the perfect peaceful getaway! the calm atmosphere, beautiful lake view, and tasteful design made it a truly relaxing stay. the rooms were clean and comfortable, the service was excellent, and the breakfast—cooked with love—was absolutely delicious. we also enjoyed the homemade lunch and dinner, which were fresh, flavorful, and felt just like a warm home-cooked meal. special thanks to savinoy for his amazing support and to chechi for preparing such heartfelt meals. kayaking on the backwaters was a definite highlight! if you're looking to unwind and recharge, vala house is highly recommended.

We organised a bridal shower party for our best friend in this property and the staff on duty was truly helpful. We had a very pleasant stay and an awesome kayaking experience. Walkable distance to the beach and such a cozy staycation experience.
