SUNVIEW BEACH RESORT

Place is really good. Very nice resort and staff. Would definitely recommend. Very close to north cliff.

Apart from the location there is nothing unique about the resort. Staff are managing as much as they can. Due to the location it’s always full which in turn makes guest service not much of importance to them. We had to go down to the reception every time to get basic amenities like towels, water bottles etc. rooms are very average with faulty fitting and stuffed pillow covers. Linens are very old and near to end. To be short NOT A WELL MAINTAINED RESORT. But if you prefer an expensive room very near to black beach then go for it. LOCATION is the only plus point. If the management put in effort to renew the resort it would be a killer resort in Varkala that’s for sure.

We reached the resort around 2:20 PM, but unfortunately, our room was not ready. An employee even told us that we were late, which felt like shifting their responsibility onto us. As per standard check-in policies, the room should be prepared by the check-in time, regardless of whether guests arrive at 2:00, 2:30, or even later. Ironically, we were only led to the room by 3:00 PM, and even then, the cleaning was still incomplete, forcing us to wait further. This was quite disappointing, especially since we had come to Varkala just for a day and ended up losing valuable time waiting.The next issue was with the pool, which was dirty and had many insects. Initially, it seemed like it wasn’t cleaned at all, but the following day I did notice the watchman cleaning it—so perhaps it was just our bad luck with the timing. On the positive side, the room itself was good, the bathroom was clean, and the AC worked well. However, another concern was the lack of security at the backside of the resort, which seemed open for anyone to enter. Thankfully, no incident occurred during our stay. Overall, the resort has potential and the room facilities were good, but timely room readiness, regular pool maintenance, and better security are areas where improvement would make the experience much smoother for guests.

Pros: The best location in varkala. one side black sand beach and another side cliff market , restaurant everything. View is good from all the rooms except garden view rooms. The lady in the reception was very good and polite. she helped with scooty and car booking. Cons: Food quality should be improved. Already shared

Wonderful stay with family! The resort exceeded our expectations with its beautiful surroundings, clean rooms, and excellent service. Perfect blend of comfort and relaxation. Highly recommended

Good and clean stay with clean and well maintained rooms with good parking and great access to everything. The main highlight is the location and view of the beach on top of the cliff

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this resort in Varkala! From the moment I arrived, the warm hospitality and serene atmosphere made me feel relaxed and at home. The property is beautifully maintained, with lush greenery and a calm, peaceful vibe that perfectly complements the stunning cliffs and beach nearby.

Pool is picturesque with Arabian sea backdroop... but rooms are only average... not very well maintained. There is no intercom, no self regular room cleaning.. Breakfast here is not at all recommended. Acess to North cliff is a plus else a very ordinary resort!! Don't expect much

A beautiful property ruined by mismanagement. We had arrived at the property at 2 PM, the actual check in time. But we were informed that the rooms are still not ready and will be ready in half an hour. So we went to the in-house restaurant and had lunch and came back to check in at around 3:30 and the rooms were still not ready. The property informed that the previous guests have not checked out yet. It was only at 5:30 in the evening after we received the two out of the three rooms that we had booked. The location is excellent, the food in the in-house restaurant was also good. The rooms were also good. But the overall experience was ruined because of the check in hassle.

Our stay at Sunview was wonderful. The service was excellent. The booking through MakeMyTrip had our family split in rooms in 2 different buildings. The management was great and alloted us with two adjacent rooms which made our stay very pleasant. The property is beautiful and has a wonderful view of the ocean. The rooms & washrooms are tidy and clean and has all the necessary amenities. The property is right at the end of the north cliff and close to Black beach if you want to dip your toes in the ocean. Highly recommend this place for your Varkala visit!

Had a wonderful stay at Sunview Beach Resort! Stunning ocean views, clean rooms, and helpful staff. Perfect for a peaceful getaway. Loved the sunsets and beach access. Highly recommend!

Positives: courteous staff, great location, nice room, nicely maintained property, Negatives: early check in could have been arranged even though it was requested in advance, the food was not up to the mark compared to other places in the area, for the first time in a hotel I heard there is no choice of eggs, not so good coffee, room service was a bit delayed, room cleaning could be improved

Cons : 1. Check-in was a little delayed. I had to wait for around 15 - 20 mins while they were cleaning the room. 2. Even though it was cleaned just then, the floor was still not good. 3. Breakfast was bad. No good maintenance at the restaurant Pros : 1. Nice view of the beach 2. Swimming pool 3. Amenities in the room

Not at all clean room, with 0 amenities and food was also bad for breakfast.We could spot some extra guests(cockroaches)in our room

The location is Good in beach but I booked heritage rooms which was not great but the Hotel management Changed the room second day. Thankyou to them for changing second day.Breakfast was not great not much options.

You can not get a better location than this in Varkala cliff ...it was just perfect.. we also liked the food and staff was so helpful in making our stay there memorable.. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone when in Varkala

Good stay, very neat n clean it’s a service apartment type all can enjoy with our friends kind of group trip. You can enjoy with balcony view
