I searched dozens of places to stay in Varanasi without satisfaction. But as soon as I saw Ratnakar homestay, I immediately booked it. I am more than happy about my decision. This place is more than 250 years old, and it gives you the perfect heritage feel. This was the residence of a great poet. Now it is being taken care by his 4th generation descendants. They are doing an excellent job. The rooms are very neat and tidy. The pure home-made food is absolutely delicious. And they serve you with lot of love. The homestay is close to important Ghats of Gangaji.

Good property at a walking distance from the shivala ghat. Our stay was amazing. Host mr rahul and his mother were the warmest hosts, treating us like family and serving with good home cooked food. The two helper boys rahul and vijay were at most help for us and the sweetest of all. Would definitely recommend for stay.

We had an amazing stay at ratanakar bhawan with a family of small kids and elderly. Hosts helped us with milk for infant whenever we asked for it. They also provided us cutlery for outside food we got in even late night. The staff was very prompt, helpful and courteous. They also arranged for boat ride for evening aarti. Guided us with itinerary for varanasi. Most importantly we left a baggage behind accidentally and they sent their staff to station just in time.

Pros: very convenient and safe place to stay. Very helpful staff. Cons: room had no windows. Dinner gave me a stomach upset, which was probably just bad luck.

Wifi was not available as promised and the mattress was not upto the mark. It s not not worth what it charges.

Room was Not That Much Clean Even Bathroom Too ,Food was Ok But Not So Good, I have paid a huge amounts for 03Nights But Didn’t Get The return as I was excepted Overall It’s Ok 👌🏻 I Will Give 05 Out Of 10 Behaviour Of The Staff Was Excellent 👍🏻 I Will Give 10 Out Of 10 No Doubt Everyone Of The House Members Was So Helpful As If Am Staying With My Family 😊

Too much congested and too much noise.

Finding the location can be little tough, but overall we had a great stay once we got in. Convenient location to reach all the religious places. All the family members were very warm, we got a real home stay experience. Food was very tasty and served with lot of love. The only suggestion is on the housekeeping which can be improved a bit more to the 4 star levels. We look forward to go back again.

It was exorbitantly overpriced, in the name of cottage room they gave a room on the roof. For a simple thali with small proportions of sabzi and few paranthas, they charged 400+taxes per plate. Horrible price to reward ratio. Will never recommend it to any one

RATNAKAR BHAWAN i.e. Really Heritage Homestay at Kashi... Fantastic Stay... We're 7 persons where 3 are Senior Citizens & 1 Super Senior Citizen who staied there from 7th to 11th March, 2023. Starting from First experience, We checked in at late night 2 am and Mr. Rahul Ratnakar (Owner) himself with 2 other members came near Chowk to receive us. Too Humble Person Rahul Bhaiya is...! Great Hospitality, Superb Ambience, Beautiful Tarrece Garden & Great Stay... Mother of Rahul Bhaiya is also so nice like we thought we're all Family Members. From Day one to last day of Stay we felt really that she is like one of our Family Member... This place near to Shivala Ghat about 220 m i.e. 3 minutes walk from Bhawan. Overall experience was excellent. 6 out of 5 Stars😄...

The stay is good. Room is neat and clean but a bit small compared to the price. The approach road is bit narrow where even auto doesn't ply.

This was my first time in a homestay and was pleasantly surprised. The owners went out of their way to ensure i was comfortable. Being cautious about eating out, i opted for a dinner. A variety of vegetables, lentils and bread made a sumptuous mean. Not to mentioned, the elder lady of the house sat with me and we had a pleasant conversation. Good memories.

I was pleasantly surprised with the property. The host family are very nice, good nature d people who make you feel very welcome took special care of personal food preferences. Room was decent. Clean bathroom. Centrally located for ghat visits as well as work areas.

Pleasant to stay. Feel homely and enjoyed tasty home made food. The dealing of owner was like family member
