Very beautifully maintained property. Extremely friendly, helpful and thoughtful host. Truly a homestay where we were made absolutely comfortable. Really appreciate their attention to details in setting up tables for breakfast and dinner. Kids loved the place very much. Special mention to the support staff and their pet who made our stay extra special.

We had a wonderful stay at Gowri Nivas in Madikeri! It’s amazing how this place manages to be right in the heart of town yet feels so peaceful and nature-friendly. The surroundings are green and calm — a perfect retreat away from the bustle of busy Madikeri streets. A special thanks to Ms. Muthu, our gracious hostess, who made our stay extra comfortable. She went out of her way to help us plan our itinerary, suggesting the best attractions to visit around Madikeri and even guiding us with great dining options nearby. Her warm hospitality truly made us feel at home. The rooms were cosy and well-maintained, with a lovely rustic charm and all modern comforts — Wi-Fi, 24-hour hot water, ample charging points, and more. The homestay had two bedrooms with attached bathrooms, and we especially loved the sit-out overlooking the garden, perfect for morning tea or evening relaxation. There’s also ample parking space, which was very convenient for us. Muthu stays in another house within the same property, so she’s always available if you need anything. The complimentary breakfast they serve was delicious and homely. Overall, Gowri Nivas is a perfect blend of comfort, nature, and genuine hospitality. a very nice and cozy stay right nextto main city center. loved the mix of vintage and contemporary feel in the cottage. We really had a good time at gowri nivas,the rooms were comfortable and neat giving a cozy vibe and the garden view from the room is beautiful,breakfast was authentic and tasty and our host muthamma was very gracious and humble and she gave us suggestions on places we can visit there and any other queries overall we enjoyed our time in coorg and in gowri nivas and would recommend others who would like a calm atmosphere with scenic view to stay here.

Perfect place to stay at Madikeri. central location and everything is near from the stay. The rooms were nice, clean and had beautiful furniture. Lovely breakfast and caretakers and host were perfect.

It was great stay in a nature surrounded environment. Small and simple, well maintained. Staffs were very helpful and kind to deliver our asks. Looking forward for a repeated travel

It is a very nice place with big garden. It is located in the center of the city but with outskirts resort vibe. Breakfast was simple and healthy.

The cottage was charming with space to sit outside. Tastefully furnished, clean and large enough for two. It has a second rental but we were never disturbed by the people staying there. Hostess is charming as was rohini. They answered all our questions and provided whatever we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

I am very pleased with this home stay, i was wondering how this place would be when i booked it, once i arrived it was a pleasant surprise, the traditional looking cottage with vintage furniture was maintained extremely well. The host was very friendly and helpful. I will surely recommend this place.

Location is good as it’s near the raja ji seat and thats all good i can write. I booked solely as it was home stay but they were not ready to serve food and we are ended up searching local restaurants which are not so good in coorg. 6k per day and not even packed water bottle. Untreated hard water for bathing are a few difficulties which we have faced. Having said that, owners have full filled our demand of boiling mill with horlicks which was a plus. I found it very costly and not worth of money.

it was nice experience of staying in Gowri Niwas Coorg. onwer is welcoming and cooperative. they are providing complementary breakfast everyday which is too tasty 😋 location of homestay is very accessible.. and roaming in Madikeri gets easier due to this. would like to travel again and this time with our whole family.
