Goldfield Club & Lake Resort- Kumarakom

So we stay for a night they There were zero maintenance around the property and the swimming pool was not able to access were the pool was in green colour and the room and staff were good and they didn't provide a soap or any other things they were they were only clinic plus shampoo

Ambient Very excellent but amenities normal.We suggest ,The Management will keep this resort and tomaintain the surroundings to be handle better.

Place of the resort is fantastic view of the back water is awesome and peaceful ,,food is good ,room service is average,room infrastructure is good,,

We are not checking Becoz it’s like local bar setup,it’s not family atmosphere.Enterly different from the picture.Dont cheat your clients. it’s very very bad experience. Reception and all very cheap quality we paid for 2days

Was really good experience and the staff was really friendly, the breakfast was average though, good budget friendly option

The management of the resort was not cooperative and the property lack safety measures like medical facilities, also there was very dim light in the rooms and the we find difficult to come out of our rooms because there is no lights in the walking area of the resort.

Dear hotel management, disappointing experience at doves goldfield i am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel from 28th december 2024. We had booked a suite in advance, but upon arrival, we were instead allotted a standard room. After a lengthy discussion with your staff, we were eventually given the suite we had paid for, but this set a very negative tone for our stay. Unfortunately, the issues did not end there. We were appalled to find the kitchen in an unhygienic state, with a lizard spotted in the cooking place. The quality of the pool was also subpar, with poor maintenance. Additionally, the staff we interacted with were unprofessional and rude, adding to our discomfort. To make matters worse, there was no dedicated kid’s menu available. We were told to arrange food for our child on our own, which was highly inconvenient and unacceptable for a hotel of your stature. The staff also misbehaved with our parents during lunch as if they were doing any favour. The breakfast was kept at the dining place till lunch time where the dining place had started to stink. The lunch served was cold and the staff said the so called chef had left the resort and no one is there to give us the food. Due to the accumulation of these issues, we made the decision to cut our stay short and left after just one day, even though we had initially booked for three. There is one person at reception who knows neither local language nor english and that poor guy is given the task of serving the entire resort. 1) leaky and non functional bathrooms 2) no basic items like towels, doormat etc, placed 3) no kitchen y day as i was told cook was on leave 4) property garden not maintained at all. Overall has been a major disappointment and the worst ever i have got through mm t till date at a 4 star price. Big deception

Worst service there's no restaurant not maintained premises

Stay at this property was horrible,No water was available in the bathroom.Painting was happening in our stay time,staff was irresponsible and I Won’t suggest this property to anyone

Worst experience. No water in the morning for 3 hours. Food is also poor. Fan is not working properly. Better to choose others.

Resort was ok. But felt some insect bite. Location was very good. Food was descent but very costly. Swimming pool was clean. Could have maintained the rooms better.

The location is very cool and breezy. And good lake view. Staff is comfortable. The resort view is good with pool.

The average length of stay was not satisfactory. The environment was not conducive to a positive experience.

Nice ambience and stay with affordable rate.Need to maintain the surroundings and the kids play area much better .

Staff not available in reception long waiting for check in, pool is not clean, service calls not picking and duty manager is very rude behaviour.

*Positive" Feedback: The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The old gardener was working hard and kind. Their response time was great. They made us change our ratings, else would have been "OK, just another experience" Constructive Feedback: 1) The room: BIG TV, The bed was comfortable, bedding was clean and AC and mini fridge was good. However, the bathroom needs some work, no ventilation, very dark and needs renovation. The room definitely needs a white wash, although didnt smell bad at all 2) The breakfast was ordinary, no options, just two items and bread/butter, no live counter. 3) Swimming pool: Is under 4ft, so felt like a child pool, didnt see any water treatment plant, but saw someone late evening chlorinating it. Negative Feedback: NO WIFI in rooms, if you are looking for work from home, this is not a place for you. The front office guy/manager. No one helped us get the luggage out to the room, the guy was walking with keys in front of us to show the room, is that normal in Kerala? Also, at the time of checkout, the manager at the desk didnt even bother to ask how our stay was, No one even came to put the luggage in our car, when we were the only ones checking out then. strange though! Message to hotel management: Take negative feedback very seriously, it's hurting your ratings and also customer bookings, This property deserves much better management for a rather good property!
