Ashoka New Diamond Hotel

The hotel condition was horrible. First of all, there was not lounge to wait. I booked a room a day before checking but then also we family have to sit near reception counter as the staff were cleaning the room. In the room there was an air-conditioner but no remote control, the temperature was fixed at 17 degree. There was no intercom facility, a very ordinary menu chart, very poor condition of washroom, and there were many things with whom I am not satisfied. As a whole, we are not satisfied and we will never recommend this hotel to any one.

Location: In a corner of an extremely narrow street, a big struggle for a normal size car to get in. No car park. Rooms on second floor/no lift, a restaurant do exist in the hotel, however the menu is provided on a piece of paper with handwritten menu items. They did not have most of the menu items available. We really had to order and takeaway the dinner from the next door hotel restaurant. Room condition was very average. No Balcony sit out, no fruit basket, no coffee maker, no mineral water as mentioned on the posting. Bathroom condition was horrible. Toilet seats were broken, no running hot water, no bathroom toiletries, no floor mat or floor towel. No bed sheet provided under the stinky over blanket. No intercom/phone in the room. The price for per night stay was at least three times more than the reasonable price for that kind of hotel. Room service was very slow and really way to call them as there were no phone/intercoms in the room. We were first given a room in which the electric switch board was hanging out of the wall with naked electric wires near the floor. After I refused to stay in the room, they allocated me another one only after about 2 hour. At the end of the stay during the checkout, they even refused to issue a receipt for the hotel stay. Worst ever hotel for me!

First of all hotel was not aware about our arrival. Later on after showing the confirmation receipt after some time they provided a very common room. There was no phone in the room. No cafeteria as it was mentioned in our reciept. No restaurent, only room service was available. On hotel confirmation reciept address was mentioned "vinayak bazar" but its wrong...correct address is below Gumat. We took 30 min to locate the hotel. Very common hotel. Not worth for money.
