The property had great and cozy rooms, and the facilities and the location were good as well. We enjoyed our time there.

I had a very good experience over here amazing view and great staff always ready to help note:- i think they are the only one hostel who is hosting 70-75 percent foreigners i liked the place a alot stay here if you ever come to dhramshala

This was the first hostel I visited and my experience was great. Place is clean and the view from the back side is good.

No doubt property is very good but cafe kitchen closed due to manpower shortage. It’s very difficult to stay without food.

Very comfortable stay and the volunteers were great. Both the host were awesome. Food was also delicious. The atmosphere and vibe is very friendly and calming. Must recommended.

Great vibe, location and team.

Dharamkot is a beautiful place that accommodates natural wonders, amazing cafés and kind people. The Young Monk Hostel is a relatively new addition to the landscape of these magnificent mountains. It offers a great location, along with neat dorms, amazing café and guests from all over the world. The management was gracious enough to let me check in and check out early. However, there’s one thing that is a bit bothersome. The people may appear ‘cool’ and ‘open-minded’ at such hostels, the reality could be different. I have always avoided staying at a hostel and the manager, Dhananjaya or DJ only reinforced the idea by making an unwanted remark on my outfit. I was wearing a causal cotton saree and apparently my saree and perfume didn’t pass the ‘vibe’ check. He casually commented on how he is getting ‘shaadi’ vibes from me in front of the other guests. It’s a shame how someone embracing their comfort, style and culture made him think and speak like that, to a woman. However, habits that are actually problematic are openly accepted. Apparently, that’s ‘cool’. A hostel is still a part of the service industry and at least the manager should know the right code of conduct. His opinion was unwanted and unasked for. Shubham, the other manager, was pleasant to talk to.

Low maintenance. No water in bathroom and for drinking. Rooms and bathroom were not cleaned properly.

The hostel has an amazing vibe, and the staff too is awesome. Had a good time staying at young monk. Highly recommended!

Not attached washrooms even for doms. Sharing washrooms for multiple doms. Not much professional.
