Family stay with 7 year old kid

    Rachana Bondade , Mar 07, 2019

The Camp guys are very warm and friendly. Assisted us with sandwiches at 5:30 Am in morning before we did check-out as we were to miss the free breakfast. Awesome sand dunes ride, very entertaining rajasthani folk dance, and we did love the local food.

    Great stay

    Harsha Baruah , Feb 21, 2019

Excellent room with all requisite amenities. Cooperative and competent management. Cheerful and helpful staff. Great food.

    Food not great

    Ashok Das , Feb 20, 2019

Pleasant stay. Helpful staff. Food should improve

    Be cautious while booking it

    Jagdeep Singh , Feb 15, 2019

I think staff and whole management don't know the meaning of hygiene and sophistication can't come into their mind without proper education. If booked, you and only you would be responsible for your health issues. My check in out combination was 12/02/2019 to 15/02/2019. But their level of hygiene forced us to leave it due to food poisoning and spoiled valentine's day and whole Jaisalmer trip. Take risk at your own like me and now in regret mode and waste valuable money at their small and meager profit thrust.

Awesome location with very nice property

    Navdeep Kanwer , Jan 31, 2019

We had a very comfortable stay at desert area. All staffs are very nice. Excellent hospitality, location, rooms, night program. Food quality is very good dinner and breakfast. We will always recommend this hotel for stay

    Winds Desert Camp

    BHASKAR KONATI , Jan 09, 2019

Way too high cost not justifiable, unfortunately. Very average food.
Cramped for 3 people. Air-conditioner was not working in the AC room, not value for money charged.

    Location and food

    Ravindra Wani , Jan 03, 2019

Location is very good away from other camps. Food is not as expected.

    Very good stay

We stayed for 1 night. Everything from rooms to entertainment to food was great. They had organized jeep safari and camel ride also. It was a memorable stay.
The decor was very nice. Room size was also good.

Winds tent resort was a great tent stay

    Prakash Nair , Dec 22, 2018

Comfortable tent accommodation. Had a great time there with family. Room service was great food was good. No Tv but that's okay no issues. Not expecting WiFi at this remote location though. Camel safari and cultural programs were included in the booking fare and was great. Really enjoyed this place and would surely recommend to people. Almost 40 km away from Jaisalmer city. You can call them and they will arrange for pick-up and drop. Charge was rs 1200 from Jaisalmer to sam sand dunes
    Clean tent accommodation. Spacious.

Comfortable stay, amazing location, tasty food and good cultural program

    Ganesh Adiga R , Dec 18, 2018

Clean room, good location, but the room was really tiny with hot water issues. The desert camp is nicely located and little away from the crowded from the sam sand dunes. The rooms were really neat and comfortable. No issues with the food and service. Since we were travelling with the kid and was really cold out there in December, we opted for the heater for which they charged us extra for a single night, which I feel for exorbitant.

    Overall good

    Vipul Patel , Dec 10, 2018

Costly, not worth the money spent.

    Good Stay

    AMEYA BHOLE , Nov 18, 2018

We liked the tent and the room service. It was just perfect.

    Excellent Stay

    Amit Masih , Nov 07, 2018

It was a pleasant stay with decent accommodation specially as I was travelling with kids and little doubtful about tents but it was a great choice but they should increase some activities in the package. Overall had a great time. Thanks and recommended.
Food was too spicy. It should have simple food options for kids.

    Excellent Stay

    Sudip Sengupta , Oct 29, 2018

Nice ambiance. Friendly environment. Good food.

Winds desert camp great desert experience with raga than flavour

    Prasobh Kattambil , Oct 19, 2018

Winds desert camp offers incredible desert stay experience with camel safari and raga than cultural show. The tents are cool and comfortable. Camel safari in the dunes are well arranged. The night cultural program was enjoyable. Food was good with local items included. Overall it was a great trip.
Winds desert camp has very spacious and clean tents with all necessary facilities. The bathroom also has all basic stuff. The desert cooler made the room very comfortable.

    Very good

    Deeksha Katarki , Oct 15, 2018

    Great stay with excellent service

    Abishek B B

Took a Swiss camp with air cooler. We were welcomed with a welcome drink as it was hot in afternoon around 3. Room was impressive with well designed tents and neat toilets. We were told to get ready around 4 to take camel safari as its part of the package. They took us near to sand dunes in cab and an awesome camel safari started. We came back to desert camp post sunset, welcomed with aarati and a hot tea with snacks freshened us up. Next was Rajasthani folk dance. There was a dedicated place to sit and enjoy this dance, it had old school seats on the floor. A fire was lit in the centre to keep us warm, as it started becoming colder. Dance was very enjoyable and its amazing that the culture of folklore dance is still maintained. Dinner had veg as well non veg buffet and it was good. Night stay was too good as we were away from all city buzz. Spoke with manager of desert camp and he organised a jeep safari. They took us near to sand dunes for jeep safari next day morning for sunrise view. It was quite a thrill ride. Breakfast buffet was good and it had all varieties to satisfy everyone. Overall, one of the best stays we had. As compared with other camps, desert camp is not near to sand dunes. Car drive of 15 to 20 mins would take you to sand dunes.

A bit expensive, but totally worth it

I went with two other friends on 24th feb. The camp is 30-40 km away from Jaisalmer city so you'll need some transport. They can provide the cab for some extra charge. The camp is not at Sam sand dunes but 3-4 km away from it, which is fine because they'll take you there for the activities. The tents were spotless and you'll be surprised how well maintained the washrooms are for a remote place like this. Running hot and cold water is available. For hot water, you just have to turn the geyser on. On arrival we were given welcome drinks and at 5 we went to Sam sand dunes for camel ride and the sunset. On return we had a traditional welcome and tea coffee and some snacks were ready. Later during the cultural performance, snacks were served. The dinner was good. We do not have any complaints. In the morning you have your breakfast and tea. The staff is very courteous and will help you with any requests. The best thing about this camp is its location. Its far from any other camp so it is really peaceful. You can see a ton of stars from there if you step away from the light for a while. Also it is right next to windmill. We decided to spend a bit extra on the camp and that was the best decision we made. I would like to return here with my family.

    Wonderful experience

    Mohd Sajjad Raza Rizvi

Even though Winds Desert Camp is far from the sand dunes, it is still a wonderful experience to stay here. The serenity of the place, the beauty, the romance of the desert--all of it can be experienced here. The tents are clean, spacious, with lovely decor. I loved the little lantern-style lamps that light the room at night and give it the most romantic, camping feel. The bathrooms are also spotlessly clean and spacious, with hot water available at all times--which was important for us since we went in January. Room heaters are also provided in the tents so even though it was biting cold outside, we had a warm and comfortable night. The cultural programme at night was enjoyable, although the bonfire was way too far from the seats and couldn't provide any warmth. But the dinner was good--you can taste traditional Rajasthani fare here like ker-sangri and Dal baati churma. We enjoyed it all, including the camel ride to the sand dunes to watch the sunset--which was included in our package. The only drawback is that the Winds Desert Camp is off the main road, unlike other camps, and not close to the sand dunes either. But the best part for me will always be the beauty and serenity of the place that makes you feel absolutely calm and blissful.

    Very nice stay!

    Prashant Agarwal

Location is awesome as it is in middle of desert. We needed transport from Railway station to the camp site which was arranged by Camp manager very promptly. The camp was very clean and cozy. Bathroom was also kept clean and nice. The bedding & furniture provided was tasteful and sufficient. Camel safari arranged by camp was good. Evening cultural program was a supplementary and nice way to end the day. Meals(Dinner & breakfast) were good as well and the staff was very much willing to make it as per any special needs of guests. Tea and snacks served during evening and morning were OK. Overall we were 3 families travelling together with 5 kids of about 4 years and our mobility was thus very limited. Our needs were very specific to our kids and the camp arranged it all for us. On next day they even arranged a visit to city for us with knowledgeable driver cum guide.

    Superbly awesome place to stay

    Vivek Khurana

Winds Camp is superbly awesome, has every facility you can expect, class level work in every aspect. Warm welcome at Reception, followed by a welcome drink. Service and staff is excellent. You need anything, just call them, hats of to their manager/co-ordinator, just ask him he will arrange everything. After welcome drinks, you will get clean rooms arranged with every amenities as you can wish for. Super cool arrangements if you opt for AC. Everything was planned and organized, they will arrange Camel rides and Desert view. They can arrange desert safari or other views on request, if you opt for. And best thing is there is no middleman to make you confused or refuse for something. Cultural night and snacks were arranged fantastically and you will get perfect under sky experience for the night. Best service assistance at every step. Totally Recommended.

    Awesome Experience

    Ranjini Raman

We had gone to Jaisalmer for about two days last week. This place is close to Sam sand dunes and about 45 mins away from Jaisalmer railway station. The location of this camp is absolutely amazing. It is not amidst the chaos of Sam sand dunes. It is about 10 mins away from there and located in a peaceful place. A perfect place for couples, families and also friends. The tents are really neat. The bathrooms are big and clean. The service is really good. The best part will HAVE to be the extremely good food. We stayed there for 2 full days and there was not one meal that was less than good. It was yummy. We were offered a complimentary camel ride and Jeep safari ( the next day). I would totally recommend this place to anyone and everyone going to see Thar.

Good location, friendly staff and great experience

    Shashank Jain

I stayed here for a day in last week of November and it was a good overall experience. The staff is very polite and always up for anything you need. Camp is about 5KM from the SAM Dunes. Tents are spacious and well equipped. They offer camel safari and dune bashing on a private jeep (not part of the package). The charges for the safari are bit on the higher side but its that extra comfort and control you have that tips in resorts favor. Room cleanliness was not up-to the mark, we found some used tobacco packets under the blanket. The cultural event with the camp fire in the evening was refreshing. The folk songs and the dances were awesome. Dinner was good.

    Excellent services and amazing stay

    Rohitabja Haldar

Stay at Winds Desert Camp was amazing from every point of view. Even though we were the only guest on that day (though my first expression was shocking) but they did really wonderful job to give every bit of comfort to their guest. Service was excellent, same goes for the desert safari and camel ride. We enjoyed a lot being in sand dunes and capturing our memory of sunset in a desert. Then comes the famous Rajasthani cultural program. Again no word can express my feeling properly. We ended our eventful day with a candlelight dinner. I fully encourage everyone to be a guest of this camp if you want to really enjoy your night in desert.

    Location, quality and service

    Saurabh Mehra

I stayed for 2 nights in the Swiss luxury AC tent and it was worth it. Food is delicious and staff was really helpful. Tents are really neat and clean. They wouldn't charge you for extra water bottles if you take apart from two mentioned considering it a great facility while you are in desert camp. No outsiders allowed apart from guests staying at camp - normally all the camps have people coming from outside every evening for cultural shows and dinner so every guest staying in this camp gets individual attention. Service is awesome. I would definitely recommend this camp to everyone.

    Good Stay

    Yogesh Yadav

I visited Wind Desert Camp on 3rd February 2015 and it's been a nice experience. Following are pros: Tents were well maintained and clean. Heater was handy as it's bit cold out there and AC is a big relief for hot weather. Camel safari included in package was also fine. Food was also fine as we have good variety in breakfast and dinner. Cultural program in evening was good and snacks were also served. Cons: Sam dune are at 15 - 20 minutes drive from this camp which is little disappointing as you can't go to sam's at any time at your will.

Amazing experience, couldn't have asked for more

    Vibhor Banga

Location is amazing. Around 33kms from Jaisalmer city, it is on a very peaceful location, with no other camps nearby. Setup of tents is beautiful and in reality is exactly like it looks in the pictures shown here. Food (dinner + breakfast) was great. Set up of cultural program was great too. You can buy drinks from there (decent prices) or you can take your own drinks. Jeep Safari arranged by the Winds Desert Camp (not included in package) was super. It is a must do, don't miss it !! Staff was extremely polite and helpful.

    Excellent place, nice tent accommodation

    Pramila Srivastava

This is an unique concept. The AC tent was very comfortable. Evening cultural program was excellent and enjoyable. Food served was good and staff very courteous. Sunset and sunrise was very nice to look at. The place was very relaxing. Sam dune visit arranged by the camp was unique and this was with camel safari. The road leading to the camp from Jaisalmer was just very good. The temperature in the night becomes very pleasant. Lots of families were enjoying their outing and camp fire at the cultural programme.

    Value for money

Staff was very humble and cooperative. Tour package was good Evening performance was awesome Food was good Ambience was good Staff were very good Service was instant They also help to arrange visits for local sight scenes Overall superb experience

    Excellent service & strongly recommended

    Gurdeep Singh Dhaliwal

Strongly recommended. Majorly for the service provided by staff. Location is quite close to Sams Sand Dunes. Rooms are excellent, better then we expected. Quite relaxing atmosphere, exactly what we needed for our 2 days stay. Tents are really spacious and clean.

    Wonderful experience with family including

    Deepa Dhruvakumar

We had booked his Winds Desert Camp from make my trip and the entire experience from check in to check out was excellent. Rooms are good and clean although location is bit far from the sand dunes. Facilities are good and they take care of the guests very well in terms of food and stay. Evening entertainment was very good and also dinner was tasty with good options. Breakfast also had good options and tasty. Our kids enjoyed thoroughly and we definitely recommend this for our friends and relatives.

Good Food, met special Choice. Good entertainment

Nice Place. Courteous service. Everything fine. Good entertainment Needs to improve services of Camel ride and taxi, who are greedy and try to fleece, out side the camp. However when pointed out the Camp manager intervened and made proper arrangement.

Neat, clean well organised and friendly staff

    Sanath Kumar

Awesome service. Good location. Away from city and other camps. Water in washroom smells a little, apart from that all the service was good. Staff is really helpful. Food was decent. Neatly maintained. Nicely organised, just a call and you have your cab to take you anywhere. I had a good time in Dec 2017

    Excellent Stay

WOW! Visited from Toronto in the week before Christmas. The facility was amazing - the people that ran the camp were friendly and gracious. Did I miss my family? Yes - a lot. My recommendation is to travel with friends/family but it was safe and a lot of fun. I am planning to visit again next year - this time with my little girl and hubby in toe!

Unique luxury in middle of dessert

    Vikrant Gogri

Different and unique than usual modern styles. The tents are nice and clean. Tent stay with private bathroom with shower is quite usable. Provides enough privacy and comfort. Great local folk music and authentic Rajasthani cuisine at the dining tent. Dance at bonfire is must attend. Overall amazing stay, highly recommended. Give great desert living feel. Great food. Enough yummy variety in middle of the desert. The staff was courteous. Quite flexible.

    Excellent Experience

    Jyothi Rakesh

Awesome experience. Very good tents neatly maintained. Came ride was excellent. Evening cultural programme was good. Staff was very helpful. Food was also excellent. Everything was very well organized. We enjoyed the complete stay at Wind Dessert. We could see both sun rise and sun set.

Good, clean rooms but average food

    Aniruddh Jain

I went there with family and friends for a day and loved the experience. The rooms were clean including washrooms, the food was average. The cultural programs and overall experience was quite good. Would totally recommend for both friends or family groups.

    Neat and clean, excellent service

    Shridhar Narayanan

Clean spacious rooms with self contained toilets and air cooled rooms. Food was quite decent and the spread was good. Cultural program was mediocre and can be improved. One can actually see the sky filled with stars when lights are turned off

    Location, isolated in middle of

    Manish Sheth

Tents are nice and cosy with attached bathroom. There was a small heater as well, which helped a little. Adequate charging points. Wooden floor also helps particularly in winters. Food was really nice, both dinner as well as breakfast. Really helpful staff. Takes extra effort to make you comfortable. Evening cultural programme was also nice.

Really enjoyed with Wind Desert Resort

    Rajendra Shimpi

Staying in desert so comfortable was awesome experience. Location of wind desert resort is very good. Rooms are clean. Services are as per the commitment, Camel safari at sun set point was very good. Only cultural program was monotonous, suggested to have sitar music and puppet show so that every age group will enjoy. Food quality was very good. Thanks to Wind Desert Resort and make my trip for having such wonderful experience.

    Awesome dessert experience .

Nice welcome by Tikka and dancing ladies, food was good mixture of northindian and Rajasthani in the dinner. Breakfast options were less and food was average, overall experience of the property is nice. They arranged for the folk music which was just awesome .

    Good Stay

    Ravi Tandon

Very good hospitality and staff, especially Vikram and the Cook had good culinary skills. We felt very much at home and had a very good holiday. The location, although far from town is very good if you feel comfortable with a sense of adventure.

Feel the wind of desert in winds desert camp.

The camp is very close to sam dunes. So you can feel the desert smell and cold winds during night in camp. The most loved part was the ethnic event in the night. All people gathered around bonfire enjoying traditional dances and alcohol. It was the perfect ambience for a wonderful evening.
