Solan Retreat

Reached Solan for the 1st time. Really enjoyed the trip,the property location, food,behavior of the staff is polite,the owner(Mr kinshuk)is down to earth. All the places I visited are very nice and the cab driver Mr Amit is also well behaved. Looking forward to visit soon 😊😊😊

Every thing was good , whenever visit again will prefer to stay there

Had a very comfortable stay! The location is great—easily accessible and quite peaceful. The staff ( especially Naseer) was polite, helpful, and welcoming throughout. The food was also good with decent variety and taste. The host also was constantly on call with us throughout our trip to help us with a comfortable stay and taxi bookings. Overall, a pleasant experience and would definitely recommend it for a relaxing stay.

Properly was Situated at centre of Mall Road which is the best about this peppery .

I found the property location from make my trip only. During my stay in Solar Retreat I took dinner one day. The food quality is good just like home cook food however price little high.

Calm, clean, at good location and good food. The view in front of the property is very good. Jawhar park is just adjacent.

The stay was good. The housekeeper manager is good too. But the location is very bad. The approach. Also please note the mall road and the other road is blocked from 6-8pm so u won't be able to enter them which will lead to additional 20 mins around in the eta. No give me my 5% discount.

Good location, nice view from garden, excellent property. Food and service was very nice. True to its name, 'retreat, the quiet old mansion provides a lovely corner in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the main street below.

Our stay at this hotel had both positives and negatives. On the positive side, the hotel's location is conveniently close to the market area, making it easy to explore. Although the owner wasn't present on-site, he kept in regular contact with us throughout our stay to check in and ensure we had everything we needed. He also generously upgraded our room, which we appreciated. On the last day, even though we were late in ordering food and the cook had left, the staff on duty made a great effort to prepare a meal for us at the last minute. However, there were several downsides. Upon arrival, we were told that someone would meet us to guide us to the hotel, but no one showed up, leaving us to find our own way. The hotel does not offer parking, and the road leading to the property is quite narrow, making it difficult for those traveling by car. There was no water available when we arrived, which was very inconvenient. Additionally, the food was overpriced for the quality and taste offered, and the room had a lot of mosquitoes, making it uncomfortable to stay. In summary, while the owner’s attentiveness and the staff's effort were appreciated, the stay fell short in terms of facilities and comfort. Improvements are definitely needed before we could recommend this hotel.

We recently completed our trip to solan (himachal pradesh. We stayed i solan retreat. It was amazing hill place to trip with family. Great ambiance of hotel. We get full view of solan city from here. Hotel has large rooms to stay. Hotel staff is full supportive. A special thanks to mr vishal who is very helpful. He was their for you for every need

Location was good, this is old heritage building, food prepared by staff as per our request was very good, safe stay with children, mr. Amlesh, the caretaker was very kind & professional and helped us in every possible way. No issue with our stay, but i wish the owner could be more kind and professional towards its staff, after all they all were working for best experience of the guests

The family-suite was spacious. The rooms were pretty clean. The property has an old-villa charm so, the furniture and other accessories are antique and old-world. It is approximately 50 staircaises up-and-down from the mall road. They have vehicle accessibility, almost to the doorstep. The staff was very courteous and very helping. The owner was very kind, caring and helping. The best part was the place gives you a sense of security and homeliness. You feel like you are staying at a relative's home. The money charged overall was worth-it. The food was delicious, homely and freshly-prepared. Overall, it was a lovely experience at the villa and meeting mr. Vishal jain and especially his mother, who made us feel at home and mingled with very nicely. Suggestions: the room can be pre-cleaned an pre-ready so, that the guest can check-in without much waiting. The rooms can have ceiling fan, instead of pedestrial fan. There should be an exhaust fan in the bathroom. Overall, our stay was excellent! thank you.

The location is great, very close to solan railway station. Scenic beauty can be enjoyed from the hotel lawn itself. Beautiful flowers are there. We were two families, and two family suites were provided. Each family suite had two rooms where 4 persons could stay. The atmosphere was like a homestay. The food was fresh and tasty. The services were good but delayed.

It's a very average place. Made out of a very old home with a very old style washrooms.

Our experience of staying at solan retreat which is a heritage home was awesome. It gives the feeling of home inspite being far from home. The care taker gopal ji is a fabulous person. You get home-cooked food. His parathas are delicious. You can enjoy your lunch basking in the sun taking view of the mountains. A comfortable stay with all basic facilities. Thanks to mr jain the owner for his efforts to give maximum satisfaction to the guests.

The homestay is not exactly as shown in the photos, as per rates of homestay is very high, the condition of the rooms was very bad.
