Great property, super supportive staff. Special mention for Ganesh for the plantation walk, story sessions which made the trip memorable. Anoop, another naturalist, a forest lover and eager to give support on anything and everything with highest diligence. Katha and Nikita at the restaurant were very helpful and attentive. The food, however requires some improvement. I couldn't enjoy coorgi filter kaapi, at the resort. The food lacked taste even for south indian preparations.The daily breakfast was just the same all the 4 days we stayed . Chef Anil and team however, were eager to help and extend support. Made great waffles on our request. Kiran in housekeeping was doing a great job and kept the property sparkling clean and hygienic, inspite of heavy rains. Spa and gym maintained well. Guest photos should be taken with consent. Overall a good stay. The recreational room requires an upgrade for sure. Was in shambles.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Gateway, Coorg. The property itself is stunning—nestled amidst lush greenery with breathtaking views and a calm, serene atmosphere that instantly relaxes you. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully maintained, loved that we had coffee machine in our room. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was Ganesh. From the moment we arrived, his warm welcome set the tone for the entire visit. He has an incredible way of making every guest feel special and at home. What stood out most was his storytelling & interesting fun activities- Ganesh brought the local culture and history alive through engaging and often humorous anecdotes that had us all captivated. Gateway, Coorg is a beautiful place—but with someone like Ganesh on the team, it becomes something truly extraordinary. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with a personal touch!

We had a pleasant stay at Gateway Coorg. The property is serene, well-maintained, and the staff were courteous and helpful throughout our visit. I travelled with my family, including our 2-year-old daughter. While most services met our expectations, I felt the in-room and dining service for young children needs improvement. The only consistent food option available for kids was khichdi, and any additional request for child-friendly meals was chargeable, which was a bit disappointing. A bit more flexibility and variety in food options for toddlers would really enhance the overall experience for families with young children. That said, we appreciate the hospitality and hope to see improvements on this front in our next visit.

You are going to Coorg, a laid back little town in Karnataka for a well deserved rest, not for a business meeting...so go to a place where you can really really relax, enjoy nature and food and company of your family. For that, I have found the perfect place.... Gateway Coorg....Location is a little inside, but thats to provide you solace, food outstanding, amenities world class and staff awesome.... Mr Anoop the resident naturalist, Mr Ganesh the other naturalist, Sarmistha the waitress at the restaurant... all are there to help you enjoy your vacation and they really care.....Little disappointment with spa .... but till date Gateway Coorg is the best property I had stayed in India.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Gateway Coorg. The service was exceptional – special thanks to Mr. Devenja Bhasu, the Hotel Manager, and Mr. Sakir , the Restaurant Manager, for their outstanding hospitality and warm, attentive care throughout our visit. They truly made us feel at home. The food was absolutely delicious, offering a great variety with authentic flavors. We also thoroughly enjoyed the spa treatments, which were incredibly relaxing and professionally done. The Gateway Coorg facilities were excellent, providing both comfort and a serene atmosphere. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we would definitely love to return!

We had a really great stay at Gateway Coorg. The food was tasty and the restaurant had a good variety to choose from. Honestly, the pictures on MMT don’t do justice—the place is way more beautiful in person. The storytelling sessions and fun engagement activities/games added a nice touch and made the stay even more enjoyable. We did have a small hiccup during the stay, but shared it with the team and they handled it really well. Would definitely think of coming back next time!

not a value for money stop, resort is okay, rooms are spacious, food exorbitantly costly, palatable. no much indoor activities, no supervisor in the area of indoor games, no lift available, however Gateway Coorg staff helped us to give a ground floor. over all not a service we expect for such an expensive stay

Amazing experience, beautiful view and awesome food. Only con, I have seen. Restaurant is away from rooms so for in-house dining, food is getting cold. This can be an issue during rainy or winter. I feel they should plan it accordingly, may be a small vehicle to get it faster. I will visit again.

The property is in a lush green region, away from the chaos. It is very well maintained and clean. The staff is very friendly, and the food is really good, though the service is a bit slow (something they can improve). I would surely visit it again.

Taj Gateway is one of the best property you can be un Coorg... Taj hospitality is really great... Stay for atleast 2-3 days to take full advantage of this property...

it's a beautiful property with amazing rooms. The actual room is far more beautiful and cozy than in the pics. the staff is too friendly and the service was very prompt. most importantly the food was super delicious.. overall, an amazing stay.. highly recommend!
