Polaris Cottage | 200m from Pangong Lake | 3 Idiots Shooting Point

Location: there are tens of cottages located in the same area and polaris cottage is located in the front line facing towards the lake. This makes you see the lake from your room. Distance between lake and the room is more than half a kilometer. Room: room is spacious enough for a small family. Do not expect power during the night time, all cottages are getting power from a generator and there is no grid connection. Few hours in day time you may get power in the room, so charge your mobile without a miss. There is no mobile network service available hence your phone can only be used to take pics and can't call any one! during nights it can really get cold and you may need room heater. There is room heater in the rooms that runs on kerosene but staff do not turn this on by default and you need to pay them extra to turn the heater on. They demand inr 1000 to turn on the heater with one liter of kerosene which lasts about 1 hr 30 mins. If you need more time then again you need approach the staff to get the fuel topped up. Hot water is available only from 7 am to 8 am in the room. Bath room is decent enough. Water supply to the rooms is shut down during night times, hence they keep a big container filled with water in the bath room for emergency toilet needs. They do not provide any toiletries, so arrange on your own. Food: options are very limited but taste wise they are good. For breakfast we are offered cornflakes, poha, a loo paratha, bread toast with fruit jam along with tea and coffee. For dinner there were dal, rice, pane-er curry, mix veg curry, roti, some kind of kheer. Other: cab drivers food and stay are taken care by the property. There is nothing other than spending time near the lake in this place. Not worth staying more than one night.

There is no heater or electric blanket falicity during the stay. 3. No hot water facility in the washrooms, In the morning 1/2 bucket water is provided per room. 4. It was very cold in the month of May. 5. View from the room was good but difficult to stay in the balcony room... 6. Dinner was good but Breakfast was not upto the mark...

The cottage is decent and managed to keep us warm during the intense winds at night. It was clean but the washroom was smelling bad and there was no proper hot water for bath. The breakfast was good and the property is 2 mins drive from 3-idiots shooting location making it very easy to reach the point that you also see unobstructed from the sit out

The location of the cottage was the closest to pangong lake, as a result we got an un-obstructed view of the lake. The cottage was clean and bathroom was well maintained. The food was also good. The cottage was also well insulated so we didn’t feel much cold at night. Overall a great experience!

Excellent location but bit far from the lake. View is good ad it is in the 1st row. Facility is good and staff is courteous. Mr. Ashok tried his level best with limited resources to make our stay comfortable.

Property location was great. Good view of the lake from the cottage. The staff took good care of us. Food was good and staff very co operative. Special mention to ashok who made excellent food.

All arrangements were good except wifi and battery backup (specially @nigth lamp bathroom lamp)

Very good and clean room. Clean bathroom, hot water available if you request. Very nice location. Staff is very good. Food is amazing.

The property have a very good view of pangong lake and the cottages were very warm and cosy. The staff were very helpful.

Property is nice but too costly in respect to what you are getting
