Hotel Akbar Residency

The washroom tab was not working and the room is so old fashion traditional we almost spend around for just 2 days. Please give some refund it is not so much worth.

Pathetic. Extremely basic, very old, unclean, not worth the money paid for this stay. The music from outside till midnight is a nuisance. Staff ok. Location very good.

This hotel is kind of heritage hotel. There is ample parking space. Dal lake ghat no1 (first ghat) is around 1. 3 km. You can go via dal-gate market on foot. In front of hotel there 6 eatery for veg option with all type of cost. Rooms in a block are specious. This is not professional managed hotel but staff is very helpful. Rooms contains bathtubs but plug was missing which they have arranged after a day. They have geyser in rooms so no need to worry about hot water. Rooms has ac but only cold option so not much use when it is cold outside. They provide enough blankets so don’t worry about cold. Overall our stay was pleasant. We were a family group and had booked 4 nights stay. It was an ok experience for us. Pros - rooms having bed heater or blowers, attached washroom, near good vegetarian restaurants, reception staff was cooperative. Cons- very small washrooms, only 1 soap provided (either use for hand wash or bathing) no other toiletries given. If you want water, you have to pay for water bottles, no single complimentary water bottle given at all, no elevator, room service is limited hours, daily housekeeping was not proper, did not change bedsheet even after asking them, namesake cleaning done, rooms were not deep cleaned each day. You can find dust, stains etc even post cleaning.
