it was a decent trip, food was good, stay was good. crew was really helpful, especially priyo. cruising time could be longer and the room and bedsheets smelled a little.

food is not good and even room is not good, just doing advertisement about the property

I recently had a houseboat trip with *My Trip boat house via MakeMyTrip* and, while the scenic beauty was breathtaking and the staff were friendly, the overall experience was far from what was promised. #### **Accommodation & Amenities:** The houseboat itself was decent, with functioning air conditioning, but lacked several advertised amenities. There was **no TV, no Wi-Fi, no kettle, and—most frustratingly—no running water during peak morning hours**. This made basic hygiene difficult and severely impacted comfort. #### **Staff & Service:** On a positive note, the **staff were courteous and accommodating**, doing their best despite the limitations of the boat. Their hospitality and service were the saving grace of this experience. #### **Food Quality:** The **food was well-prepared and authentic Kerala cuisine**, which was a highlight of the trip. However, considering the overall service shortcomings, the dining experience alone couldn’t compensate for the disappointment. #### **Rules & Transparency:** A list of rules and regulations was only handed over **upon arrival**, instead of being communicated during booking. This led to unexpected restrictions that could have been avoided with upfront transparency. Including these details in the booking process would help future travelers make informed decisions. ### **Final Thoughts & Suggestions for Improvement:** While the **staff and food were commendable**, the **lack of basic amenities and misleading service listings made the experience frustrating**. I had a wonderful experience on the houseboat in Alleppey. The views of the backwaters were peaceful and beautiful. The boat was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed delicious local food on board, and it was a very relaxing trip overall

we booked my trip boat house but diverted to another boat house,started 2 pm, no sunrise ride, boat rooms heavy drainage smell, taxi drivers agressive behaviour

The place was suffocating, no air circulation, food was bad . floor was dirty and smelling. Behavior of the staff in the boat was not good.

We had great trip at houseboat in alleppey. Good host service and yummy food with humble staff and service. We love it and hopefully back again at my trip houseboat

The hospitality was exceptional. Our host and facilty both of whom were friendly and attentive. They made us feel right at home and ensured that our needs were met throughout the journey. The chef prepared a mouthwatering spread of authentic Keralan cuisine, including fresh seafood, vegetable curries, and an array of delicious side dishes. Each meal was a delight, and I highly recommend trying the local fish curry—it's a true highlight.

it was an incredible experience for our family.The boat was very clean and well-maintained, and it was perfect for our stay. The crew and captain were fantastic – they made sure we had plenty of stops for fun activities and even accommodated special requests that weren’t on the menu or itinerary. We had an amazing stay at the Golden Shore Houseboat! The boat has 3 clean and comfortable rooms, all with AC. The food was fresh, delicious, and authentically Kerala-style. The staff was friendly and provided excellent service. We really enjoyed the two cruises during our stay – one in the evening and another in the morning – which allowed us to experience the beautiful Kerala backwaters, canals, and views of the Arabian Sea. It was a truly relaxing and memorable experience.

Except food everything is below average

The cleanliness and the aesthetician of the boat were pretty mediocre which was manageable. The food served was not so great and the breakfast had nothing but just idli. I think for a boat of this price the menu could have been much better.

Good experience but not worth the price. You can stay in a nice hotel in this budget n plan for a day boat. In a hotel u will get lots of food varieties whereas not on the house boat
