Hotel Royale

I am writing to bring to your attention an issue we encountered during a recent hotel booking made through your platform. We had specifically booked a room meant for 3 persons, as clearly mentioned in the MakeMyTrip app. However, upon reaching the hotel, the owner insisted that the room was only for 2 persons, and claimed that accommodating a third person was not allowed in that room. We were quite surprised, as we had intentionally chosen and paid for a room listed for 3 guests. Despite explaining this to the owner and offering to adjust without any extra arrangements, he insisted that we had to pay an additional ₹600 for an “upgraded” room that could accommodate three people. Given the late hour and lack of alternatives, we were forced to pay the extra amount. This experience was extremely disappointing, especially since we relied on the information provided on your platform when making the booking. We kindly request you to verify our booking details, and if this was a miscommunication or error on the listing, we request a refund of ₹600 for the inconvenience caused. Additionally, we hope that MakeMyTrip ensures that all listings clearly reflect the actual hotel policies and room capacities to prevent such issues for future customers. hotel is around 20 m from main road where heavy vehicles were plying constantly whole night due to which cudnt slip, upon dat Hotel Building was trembling due to heavy vehicles movement. Moreover, no kitchen. however, owner is a descent and fine aged gentle man.

The host and the staff were extremely helpful. They even arranged cabs for us

It was walkable from airport and room was near and hospitality was awesome owner of the hotel was very kind and helped us to visit some holy places in a economical way as we were vegetarian we didn't prefer food but they provided coffe and beverages they were good i would recommend to stay at this place and the price is also affordable

Room was smelling a little bit because they have not provided the ac remote to us, so that we came control the smell using ac. They used to turn it on and off from their end. Every time we have to keep on asking to turn it on, which was not good.

Room-vibrating food makes not inside ac cooling low bathroom worst

Room was sanitised with disinfectant. However though we booked a larger room, we were given a smaller one.

I was on fourth floor. When any heavy vehicle passes through near high of the property my room was shaking like earth quake because of which i was unable to sleep whole night.

Bed sheet and pillow cover are not properly clean. Bathroom is small, difficult to movement. Staffs are good.

It's good that it's very near to kolkata airport, i mean one can walk 20 minutes to reach there and for a solo traveler it's cheap and economical. Location is okay and service is bit slow but it's okay.

Very bad, nobody come. Worst for money. The owner is so bad.

The third floor is shaky when heavy vehicles moves Around. But the staffs were polite so the shaky room didn't bother me much.
