Double Tree Villa | Rooms & Restaurant

The property is ok. Very easy to locate, beside the main road. The rooms and the linen are clean. Bathrooms have hot water facilities round the clock. You don't have much choice of food because it is arranged from outside. Safe for families and couples. The highlight of our stay was the excellent service provided by the caretaker, Mr. Vijesh. He was very accommodating and service minded. Overall a good budget stay.

Our stay was very pleasant. We had the opportunity to stay here while visiting Kolukumala. Mr. Bijesh was exceptionally kind and friendly, making us feel as though he were a family friend. He kindly arranged a jeep safari to Kolukumala for us, and the breakfast provided was also quite satisfactory...

Property location was good with friendly staff.I was not able to change the date of my booking.Make my trip said to contact the hotel. But the hotel staff responded that they cannot do anything as it was booked online. So the other group who was planning to join us have to drop their plan and it was expensive for me alone.

We had a wonderful stay at Double Tree Villa Hotel! The property is clean, comfortable, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. A special thanks to Mr. Sathik Ali, for his exceptional hospitality. He went above and beyond to make our stay smooth—helping us arrange dinner and transport for local sightseeing. Truly appreciate his kindness and assistance. Highly recommended!

No power, no backup or generator.

I’m sorry to give this small score but I will explain why I gave this score: I went with my family, expecting a decent service literally as per the facilities they have shown on make my trip. When I called to inform the Double Tree Villa that I would arrive late I asked about the bonfire. The response was I needed to pay extra RS 1000/- to get it. I said it’s shown on the platform where I booked. He completely denied the fact and started arguing. I didn’t want to continue the talk hence, I called make my trip customer service. I would like to give make my trip a big thanks for making the whole situation easy and smooth. As I reached with my family the staff behaved entirely different. No argument, nothing. Everything is ready including bonfire. Again in the morning breakfast was terrible, my brother didn’t have breakfast that’s how I managed to give breakfast for our driver. They’re saying’ the idlies are counted 4 idlies per person. That was ridiculous! The basic things were missing for eg: Despite reporting hand wash never came. Sorry for complaining. I hope Double Tree Villa will improve their service in the future. Sorry again and I hope they will consider this feedback as a constructive criticism.

The stay at Double Tree Villa was nothing short of a disaster. The some of the pictures shown in the site looks manipulated as the property in real is different. To start with the main photo of the property gives an impression that there is ample space in front of the building where you can safely park vehicles and it looks like a single storied building, but in reality there no dedicated car parking within the property. I had to park my car on the side of the road. The day I checked in there was rains in afternoon and scene that I witnessed was the care taker moping the rainwater out of the reception. I booked a Tree Hut. It was nothing like an authentic tree hut. The pictures of the room contained a glass panel on the roof through which sun was clearly visible. So I was under the impression this will be an amazing star gazing experience. But to my shock, there was a worn out fiber glass like sheet through which nothing was visible. The TV was not functioning. When asked, the care takers reply, same was the case with tv in all other rooms. No water bottle was offered, nor any kettle was available considering the chilled climate of Munnar/Suryanelli. There is no proper restaurant. the menu is restricted to chapati (roti) and Parotta., egg curry, chicken curry/ veg curry. that's all. But the quality was ok. So people who are impressed by the photos and the appreciation about the host by previous visitors please be warned about the real situation.
