As per the room fare, rooms are not good, even I booked the rooms with early check-in, they provided the room in the afternoon. Even service was also poor.

Restaurant and location of the hotel are 2 main reasons why it is so popular. I have stayed here many a times. Last year, hotel was closed for renovation. Noticed during this stay that the level of cleanliness and hygiene in the rooms have deteriorated a bit, rooms smell mushy. Staff friendliness is still there. Overall, a value for money.
