Staff behaviour is good but there is a major safety concern in this property, at 3am night someone from hotel staff opened our room from outside and tried to enter, luckily we woke up and shouted and that person fled. There was no support from the management in this regard. So better avoid this property

Dear Mr. Rabjit Dey, Very Warm Greetings from Viceroy, Kolkata!!!! We are extremely sorry and shocked to know the incident. We deeply regret and apologies to you for what has happened and have no words to express our feeling. We from the Hotel Management have identified the staff who was responsible for that incident and have taken proper disciplinary action against him for his unprofessional behavior. To explain the situation I like to let you know that it was a human error and not intentionally done by the staff. There was a check out of # 405 which he by mistake heard as 406 from the reception desk and he went up to check the room and mistakenly opened room no 406. As soon as the guest shouted he was very scared and he came down and reported the incident to the night receptionist. We again give our sincere apology and assure you that this type of incident will never happen again. We all from our Management say sorry to you and request you to visit us again. Thanking you. The Property was decent the food was good but I hope they can widen the breakfast buffet choice. Location is perfect, facilities are decent but can be upgraded a bit more.
