UPAR Nungambakkam

I stayed at Upar Hotel recently, and I really loved it! The rooms were super clean, comfortable, and cozy. The location was great — peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing. Overall, it was such a pleasant stay, and I’d definitely go back again!

The staff is really nice. Breakfast has dosa, idli, vada etc. good location, near to both biometric and embassy. Overall a nice stay.

I stay for 7 days. Cleaning is not good, and the bedsheets and pillow cover have also not yet been changed over the cleaning. Inside and in the dinner area, is also running. fan and Ac also not yet to maintain properly. It is a low-class hotel.

I had an excellent stay at UPAR Nungambakkam, Chennai! 🌟 The rooms were spotless, spacious, and well-maintained, with no issues at all with A/C, TV, water or hot water, soaps, kettle for hot water, or digital door security. The staff were very friendly and provided exceptional hospitality in a peaceful environment. The complimentary breakfast was delicious — dosa, idli, vada, poha, and fresh tea/coffee made the mornings perfect. The hotel is easily accessible, and even Swiggy, Zomato, and Instamart deliver here within 10 minutes. Truly a comfortable and hassle-free 5-star experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The stay was absolutely wonderful. The morning food they offered was quite impressive, and their hospitality was excellent and friendly. The staff were also very good, maintaining great cleanliness and providing excellent service.

I was misguided on the way to hotel however finally I reached there. My advice to others: Do your due diligence in finding the exact location and do not just rely on the word of the mouth! I reached there late evening and requested them to provide some extension next day. With the request I got extension until 12:30 pm (1.5 hours past the checkout time). My advice: Please discuss this in advance with hotel to avoid inconvenience. Food was good however the food vendor was arrogant and harsh! My advice: Avoid confronting with these people. Rest all was fine, good location for US embassy appointments, small compact rooms!

One of the worst experience of my life. The room was stinking, the hotel staff were unhelpful and the food was also not up to the mark. Would not recommend.

The property is located very close to the Child Trust Hospital which was very convenient for us. The room was very clean and spacious with all basic amenities.

Upar Hotel Nungambakkam is a good hotel for stay especially to applicants who have to visit Chennai VAC for biometric. We stayed in this Hotel on 9th October 2025 night. It is just 800 m from VAC biometric centre. The staff is very cooperative . The room was neat and clean. Hot water available in the room. The complimentary breakfast is very good and tasty.
