  Do not book flights or ship tickets until your permit is approved, as approval depends on eligibility and island carrying capacity.

  Local sponsor and prior Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) are no longer required for Tourist Category permits.

  Security verification is conducted by Lakshadweep Police after application submission and no longer by local State Police.
