Suncity Resort Portblair

Please please please don't choose this hotel if you don't want to spoil your vacation. It looks very much disowned and haunted Resort. We realised our mistake as soon as we entered this Resort. We came to know that it once used to be a great hotel but has been abandoned as it's owner was in jail.

Pool was filled with rain water, no cleaning, no water on first day, This was one of the worst stay.

There no maintenance of resort since last 2 yrs . I stayed at different hotels at Port Blair, Havelock and Neil but staying at Suncity Resort @ Rose Valley is the worst experience of staying . Please never book this hotel.

I do not recommend this resort as (I) it is around 20km from Port Blair; (ii) the place is abandoned and not maintained properly ; (iii) staff at reception barely speaks English and not helpful; (iv) water in swimming pool is dirty and looks as if it was not changed for more than one month. We were very disappointed that we made our decision to stay there. Please do not repeat our mistake.

Patethic rooms rats are roaming around your bad they will cut your luggage. In nights not enough light to see the rooms some lights are not glowing. AC was not working you can not adjust temp. Because provided rooms are not suitable for fitted AC if you request to concern person they will say you booked with MMT not with us ao complain with MMT. What was displayed in room pic all are fake don't believe it. Please don't waste your money. This hotel was far away from market.

This is a very nice resort but a little far away, check on the GPS. The resort is around 15 km from the airport and it takes 45 minutes to reach there so I would advise you to pre-book the transport from the airport to the hotel and back. The cook of the resort cooks very tasty Food. The resort is attached to the beach which is fantastic. Also the rooms as spacious and comfortable. Can book the resort if you are just relaxing and have plenty of time at Port Blair for the rest of the activities. It's definitely value for money.

Hotel was good but it is too far from main city. Many facilities were shown while booking like swimming pool, badminton, table tennis etc but not a single thing was there to used. Pool water was badly polluted.

23km from the jetty in the middle of no where. Once you reach here you cannot go back to the main city because it will cost you atleast 1000 INR just to get there and that is if you get any kind of vehicle. The service is one of the worst one I have seen so far. The staff are casual and are indifferent to the request made by the guest. Dinner and Lunch are cold served with a lowly lit sitting area where food is easily shared with flies and mosquitoes. The breakfast is more like on - demand service where first come first serve is the motto. If you are late, it will be over

Great view, bathroom should have been built better since the room rates were premium.

First of all its about 25 kms from jetty and other city attractions . While we stayed TV, intercom, WiFi were not working . The resort is highly understaffed and the food is also just okay.

The resort location is a bit far from the main city and airport and therfore it takes almost 30 min to reach. But the resort is nicely built with unique designs and its worth spending a night with birds chirpings

It's actually far from the city so if someone plans to keep their luggage at the resort and move around, this resort is not for you. It's for people who would want to also spend time in the parks of the resort in the beautiful pool they have a small temple they have inside or a small point outside the hotel kind of a beach where you can see the sunset. The staff was less at the time of our stay and some repairs goin on so we faced delay in services but food was good and the people too.

Actually they have changed this hotel name as ROSE VALLEY Resort, but they didn't updated it and so we were roaming lot to search this hotel. Apart from this heck other things wer good. Especially the break fast served by them was good. And phone num that they have in website is wrong

Good it was a cool stay with beauty sarroundings awesome facilities and amenities hospitality was just awesome. Had been there in a couple and it was romantic full of leasure stress busting stay. Loved the experience

Nice place to go. Port Blair is beautiful. Resort is not maintained properly but the overall beauty of port Blair makes up. Hotel is near beach which helps the purpose of going there. Overall a good trip.

Location is very bad. Location shown in map is also wrong. It is somewhere inside a forest. If you want to visit some other places in port blair it is very difficult. Staff and service was also not helpful. No power backup or nothing.

It was a good experience overall v reached at 4 pm and stayed comfortably ... Close by to the location and Havelock is pretty good for couples. You can explore lot of outdoor activities. Can explore

Too far from city. OK location but poor condition of rooms and dry people. Check-in was OK. We were given a room which had acute smell. On request it was changed. But this was in poor condition with very old broken furniture and floor tiles were in bad state. Over all worst experience after luxurious experience at barefoot havlock.

Beautiful location and even beautiful interiors. Amazing location and lush green landscapes. Most courteous staff we encountered throughout our Andaman trip. The only drawback is distance from airport but it's worth a drive.

I never ever seen this type of ridicules hotel. Poor service low grade breakfast. In evening some animals walking near rooms Like cat and bichhu my wife scared. We called the hotel staff they told please lock your room in night. The front desk officer's behave is like enemy
