As per their policy and our homestay policy, a full refund is possible only if the cancellation is requested at least 24 hours before check-in. In your case, you requested a date change just 45 minutes before check-in, which falls outside the scope of both our and MakeMyTrip’s policies. Please note that you did not actually stay at our property. Leaving a review without experiencing the stay does not reflect the true quality of our homestay and may be considered unfair. At Tojys Homestay, we always try our maximum to be flexible with bookings and accommodate date changes whenever possible, but requests must still follow policy guidelines. It is important to understand that no business can accept cancellations or refunds just 45 minutes before check-in. We kindly request that reviews be shared based on the actual stay experience, and for booking issues, please contact MakeMyTrip directly, as all cancellations and modifications must be processed through them. Regarding your concern about food and communication, we would like to clarify: Due to the unique geographical location of Illikkal Kallu, there are limited restaurant facilities nearby. To ensure our guests’ comfort, we provide a fully equipped kitchen facility for cooking. We always recommend guests to use the kitchen facilities rather than depending on the very limited local restaurants, and this is clearly communicated during the first booking call. While we do our best to support guests, the availability of external restaurants is beyond our control. Leaving a negative review for factors outside the management’s responsibility does not reflect the true service of the homestay.
