The Hermitage

Property is old, there is nothing to do in the property, food is average, amenities in room and washroom like doors, windows and locks are broken. There is no view from rooms or property.

good and comfortable stay. Bed heat pads, heaters were nicely kept and made our trip relaxing. property is beautiful

The hotel lacks basic essential facilities like power backup during nights in the room, staff was absent, water heater, no security guard, etc. The cook was extremely good and prepared us good local food (saag and chicken is a must try). The network signals are extremely poor and lack of WiFi and electricity further compound problems, especially for family groups with children.

*Strength* Property Location & ambience is good. Food tasty. Room Service good. *Weakness* A little bit costly. Lack of Spa or any inhouse entertainment activity.

Hermitage is very beautiful and location it is situated is awesome. Each and every detail of the property is well crafted. Manager ranvir is very helpful and nice person. If you are lucky to meet mr bhatia who is the owner of the property you will be mesmerised by his life experiences and sense of humour. You will go back home with memories you won’t forget whole of life. Mr bhatia even gave us ganga jal directly which came from gangotri glacier. Will visit again here soon. Thanks to all hermitage staff.

Room service was not good no water bottles provided and totally different. Waste of money not worth the price

It was awesome for me & my family to stay at hermitage, we enjoyed a lot, the service was good, a couple of selfie points were there & the food was excellent. All in all a good time spent at hermitage

Very very rude staff and they are non cooperative. No housekeeping staff they don't clean your room. You have to request them to at least clean washroom. Food is very expensive and not worth at all. There is auli cafe nearby go there and have food. Electricity fluctuations is lot. Tv is not working.

You can see excellent view of himalaya staff is very good and cooperative and owner is also very helpful. Room are basic but rest everything is perfect

Stay was average. Property is not what ut looks like in photos. It’s smaller and view is also not too good. However stay was comfortable with heated bed, and basic amenities required in cold weather of kanatal.

Not a bad place, but below expectation. High expectation setup due to its high rating and the price. The hotel room really needs upgrade - no views from room, curtains that dont slide, underwhelming furniture, not so clean beddings, pillow covers, torn towels. No view from outside sitting as well. However, things that we liked were its food, convenient location, service and evening bonfire. But at this price, we would recommend an alternate place. Limited parking for 4 cars.

Stayed 3 days with my family there. Mr bhatia the property owner was himself present there and taking care of hotel. I will give my review point wise. Location- location is awesome and weather is great. Tehri lake is at 1 hour drive and dhanaulti just 25 min. Will give 5 out of 5. Rooms- rooms are not like that as shown in photos. Room lights are very less and the hotel has designed it like that only. Will give 3 out of 5. Food- food is average but very expensive as compare to the quality. Breakfast options are very less. Will give 2. 5 out of 5. Staff- staff is very cooperative and friendly. I went on my birthday and ordered cake thru them. Cake they got from chamba and it was not fresh, caused bad stomach to my 7 year old son. Will give 3 out of 5. Overall will give rating of 3 out of 5.

Perfect location, very well maintained, delicious food, cooperative staff. Owner bhatia ji himself present at hotel and looks after services. Best property to stay at kanatal.

The stay is absolutely gorgeous, the kitchen is outstanding, don't forget to eat local dishes there. And best of all the hosts, who are the best company through a gorgeous peaceful trip.
