Munal Homestay Icche Gaon | Rooms & Wi-Fi

Pros: this homestay is strategically located in the midst of nature, offering a breathtaking veiw of the snow capped peaks of mt. Kanchenjunga from the comfort of your room. Surrounded by such similar homestays and cottages, the ambience is really wonderful and you would love to laze around in the quiescent evenings, biding your time as the sun sets, and gradually the distant cities of pelling, gangtok and darjeeling light up in the lap of the hills. The people in charge of maintaining this place are a couple of docile folks who are helpful. Cons: there's a lot of room for improvement when it comes to factors such as hygiene and basic amenities. We stayed for 2 nights but there was no room/bathroom cleaning in this duration. The rooms could have been a little more well-equipped to meet the standards of basic present day living. For instance, lack of a fan (temperatures do rise above 30 degrees c during the day at times) and at least a second power source (if not more. There's also no variation in the meals served as the very same menu was repeated for all meals on both days. The quantity of food could also have been slightly more generous. Overall, it was a decent stay.

We stayed at munal homestay at icchyegaon from 10th to 12th march, 2023. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The first floor rooms in newly constructed building are good. We were lucky to watch kanchenjunga from the homestay. The food was excellent and we were quite happy with the services of caretaker and his family.

Overpriced fooding charges. Quality of food not up to the mark. Rooms not cleaned properly

Super service by three people there including one lady. Food was delicious and hygienic. Rooms were near and clean. View and environment was awesome.

It's beautifully located top of the mountain. Host is very polite and helpful

first of all the homestay was beautifully decorated.the behaviour of every staff was very good.the food was good.
