Octagon Beach Resort

Nice experience, hotel location is near to the Sea that's a plus point, spacious rooms, but one thing they have to maintain is hospitality, otherwise everything was good.

It was a sudden weekend trip to Pondicherry and we booked this resort when reached the resort it was like farm resort. We have been ground floor room which is spacious and felt like staying in home. The caretakers were soft and friendly. The food provided in the property were freshly cooked and served special the fish and crab. We felt like stayed in home. Kids enjoyed playing around the trees and sand which was clean and neat. The beach access was not straight from the resort need to go 10mins walk and you will find a private beach we enjoyed it. If you are going with 2 or 3 families you will enjoy a lot. I would a say my trip was a memorable pleasant there.

Worst place to stay, no toiletries, no towels, no blanket, breakfast was not provided to us even after taking room with breakfast, someone was trying to open our room in the middle of the night and too many lizards in the room over a terrible experience we had.

Swimming pool should have been there.

Everything from hospitality to comfort, food, ambience. Loved the place and enjoyed the stay. Indeed it's a very quite place. The staff was lovely and very efficient!

Our breakfast was amazing felt like having home cooked meal.

From place to host, everything was amazing. Although this place is far from main city, but it's worth every penny.

Check out time was 11. They made us leave the hotel at 9:30. Breakfast was included in the booking. But did not provide us when we asked. Secluded place. No necessary essentials were provided.

It's an ok place and village so far from city only self car is a good option if you have no good transportation.

The folks who are working are polite and I got the services, I need 20 km away from Pondicherry main Town which is stress full.

This is the shittiest hotel you can pick for the price they charge. We booked it for just 2 nights and the price was more. The place is not all like what it looks in the pick nor do they provide anything as written. It's not even worth for much less a night. The reception number will never be answered, honestly we tried reaching them since morning to night but nobody picked, to make few arrangements! There were not even one guest staying in that LODGE, well that's what you can call it, RESORT is misleading, when we arrived. Just a couple of old men who seemed like"care takers" of the property. We made the booking that says "free breakfast". TRUTH: there is no proper kitchen of their own, there are no hotels nearby, let alone a tea stall, upon inquiring they were talking about arranging something from somewhere which puts a big question mark on the hygiene! The bed inside the room have a mattress that is rock hard that will prick your butt with bitterness! Pathetic . It was dusty, bed sheets were not washed/untidy. The photos in the pick may lead you to think that the beach is just few feet away from it! That is a BIG LIE! The property is surrounded by walls, absolutely no space to walk around. The sides of the LODGE is covered in sand, again which looks very messy and something that resembles like a badly grown plantain backyard. The property is in a very Interior location, even GOOGLE could not locate it! By god's grace we got our money back as we explained the situation to MakeMyTrip and we got the refund in 2 hours. Thanks to MakeMyTrip team ! And Ulo Octagon Beach Resort is one bad choice for your holidays.if you go to their website in Google or gave given the same rating but if you scroll down there are people who have given it fine rating but in highly doubt that as one person says it as good which was posted 9 months ago, but the property started functioning just 6 months back from the date of my review here . This was told to me by the staffs at the property. Kindly think before you book this place.
