Light House Edge Beach Resort

I booked the sea facing room but when i reached there they given me a normal room which wasn't facing sea and ac was not working but they charged me only the rate of no-ac room, nevertheless they hadn't provide any other ac room and there were no blankets finally i had walked to them for requesting blankets. Anyway it wasn't a good good experience.

I had asked for handicap access. I could not claim b stairs. They had allocated room in second floor. The steps were without hand rail. I did not check in. The person who claimed as owner was mocking at me saying - i will get my money. If you cannot stay fine for me. Shame. My money was basically looted. So i cancel-led other bookings through "make my trip. Thanks for the lesson.

3. Features like parking, room service, road access do not exists and you may change it in your property details

The hotel rooms were extremely low grade and with worn out old swcond habd furniture. No hot water, no service. The same room should have been charged only per night. Also, we booked 2 rooms of the same category and got only one room of the category we booked. The other room was a much lower frade one which was hardly able to just fit one queen a ode old bed. On insistence, the owner agreed to get us food from nearby restaurant but even that was low quality and the owner of that reatraunt was so arrogant that he came over to the room for fighting just over a small exchange of statements. Would never recommend the stay at light house beach 'resort' to anyone. Also, make my trip should maintain the quality of the rooms that are available and should not allow and made up photos tp be put.

No parking, no lights in room. Village look bathroom. No hot water, while we ask no one cares. Not even worth 1000 to pay.

The view is mesmerising, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Even though, the bed sheet was a bit dirty, i asked them to change it and they did it and gave their full efforts to make it comfortable for me and my mother. The morning tea was good.

Property location is awesome, balcony view is wow with sea facing, Only 10 walking steps to reach beach. Property owner is very kind and humble in nature. Worth stay -5/5 🏄🏊

We paid huge amount for AC room. The only good thing about the hotel is it's sea facing location. But there are plenty of such hotels at the same location. No hot water in the room. I couldn't believe they don't have blankets/quilts. They instead have bedsheets and they asked us to use the bedsheets in the place of blankets. No water bottle in the room, no soap, for everything you have to call the guy and mostly he asks us to give the call to the owner.

We got a corner room, sadly. Other rooms had a direct Sea view. Check in advance if you better rooms are available. Would be a lovely stay then. More than value for money.

The Make My Trip Site does not show the rooms as Air-conditioned? Why so when the facility is available at the property? This is just one of the many Lighthouse beach properties. Maybe one of the smallest with just 8 rooms Nothing special or spectacular. No parking facility in any of these properties in the beach. Then why is Free Parking is shown as one of the facilities? Has anyone from MMT physically checked on this property? No Proper reception, Unprofessional staff, Looks more like a lodge The view from the room is good & that is the only reason I stayed just overnight.

Location: - Bad part: Not good especially if you take your car and/or have more luggage as it is very inaccessible. Narrow/steep hill road which stops about 100m from the resort. No place to park car. The sea water is dirty and stinking at this place. Highly commercialized beach and is overhead. I've seen much cleaner beaches elsewhere and Kovalam in general and Light House Beach in particular does not live up to its hype. - Good part: It is overlooking the light house beach and right next to the lighthouse. Service: Below par as it is understaffed and the tries to do everything (other than the kitchen work, perhaps). The owner-manager asked me to drive down to a neighboring building (which is directly accessible by road), park there temporarily (for offloading luggage). That was a scary place to park (even temporarily) as there were pillars in the way and it was quite a circus to park the car without scratching it against a pillar. After offloading luggage, I was made to park the car about a km away in an open ground (with oral assurance that it is ok). He then dropped me back at the "resort" on his scooter. The next day I parked the car in another ground which is about half km from the resort with his oral assurance that it is OK. When I went to pick my car next morning for checkout, I found a dent in the car (apparently some other car was involved but I have no way to know). I informed the owner-manager immediately and showed him the dent but he refused to help in any way and simply said we don't know who did it. When hot water supply failed during the stay, the only help that I got is half bucket of hot water from the kitchen but we had to wait for it. A significant amount of our vacation time was wasted in the room due to such bad/broken facilities. Already I was feeling I overpaid for the room and the dent in the car made it an even more expensive stay, not to mention the agony and inconvenience I faced while staying here. Room: Not good. Nothing in the room was working properly. Two bamboo chairs were broken and no soap rack in the bathroom. No soap rack in the bathroom and I had to be behind him (following which he fixed some glass sheet with sharp edges). The sliding doors to the balcony were not locking (which means the room was effectively open from the balcony). Even the main door lock handle was of such low quality that I was checking whether the room was locked properly and the handle came into my hand. The only response I got is that he will fix it later; no apology, no explanation. He also threatened to penalise us for the door handle (though he actually didn't). Then suddenly hot water stopped and I got some vague response that cold water got mixed with hot water so he is helpless. Even the lights in the room were not working properly and the room was darkish after switching on all lights (as if we had only night lamp on). I was already tired of the owner-manager's lame responses and did not report the light problem. All the fittings in the room including door handles/latches are of cheap quality (cheap/weak metal or plastic). Facilities: No on-site parking. He may show you an off-site parking but it is not safe. Refer to the service experience above. Resort is not directly accessible from road (which itself is narrow and steep). Value for money: No one deserves such stay even for free. We go on vacation to have a nice stay, not to be behind them continuously for basic facilities. Cleaniness: Below average. Overall: This is a homestay aspiring to be a resort and it neither has a friendly service like a homestay nor a professional service like a resort. It's the worst of both. They appear to be trying to help but the unprofessional management comes in the way. Apparently only money matters to them, not the customer's satisfaction as they get business anyway because of the location overlooking lighthouse beach (and aggregators like Makemytrip). Not sure how Makemytrip is listing this place which such bad facilities and unprofessional service. Stay away!

Awesome view and the food served was very good. So close to beach and the ambience was so beautiful. Will go there again for sure. It was worth the amount I paid. It was above my expectation. Happy Customer.

Hotel is located at the edge of light house beach, rooms were clean and maintained, hotel manager was very friendly and helpful. The view from the room was breath taking. Overall it was a very good experience.

No reception. No room service. Only view is good is only positive. Not recommended for family travellers. Also the property is under renovation only two rooms are in working condition.

The location was wonderful can't expect more than this from any room it was just in front of the sea. The manager of the hotel was very kind and was like a family member taking care of every need although we had a single day stay will surely try to go next time to the same hotel with our family.

Location of hotel is very good, hotel is very near to sea, one can enjoy sea. Service part is okay. No food available in hotel but one can easily find food near by hotel. AC and non AC both service available. Rooms are clean.
