Hotel Jaisal Castle

If you are looking for a feel of the past times, the Rajas , Fort, the beautiful architecture, privacy et all, this is the right place. In addition, if you prefer homemade food away from home, this is the place. The clear night sky and the dinner under the stars was enjoyable. The clear view of the city during the day and night lights was also mmemorable.We enjoyed our stay.

Location of the Hotel is good as it is situated inside the castle itself. Service was fine. I found it value for money.

Situated in Jaisalmer Fort. But name (Castle) does not go with the real hotel/room. Minimum facilities need to be improved in the hotel.

We found no star type facility (3 star!!). Located inside the castle where no can get in at least 2km near to it. No room heating facility and 24hrs. running hot water in this winter time. Really very hard to stay. Food is good.

The housekeeping is a bit slack. Otherwise, a very comfortable and a very homely hotel.

Difficult to arive at the hotel as outside vehicles are not allowed to enter the fort. Also it is more of a home stay than a hotel. Service is good, but no value for money.

Hotel location was good but hospitality was not up to the mark. Even drinking water was not provided in rooms. No intercom, no proper room service, no tourism guidance, no welcome drink, no tv, no intercom, no internet. Perhaps this type of hotel is for foreigners (location wise only). Hence I do not recommend for family trip.

The stay was memorable and we enjoyed alot. The worst was the access to the hotel. No vehicle reaches to the hotel, have to walk a long distance to reach hotel. The food was excellent and we were nicely treated by the hotel administration. Good to stay.

People should be admonished about the location and told how to reach and elders are strictly ill advised. The entire hotel as ethnicity attached to it and food homemade which makes it really homely. Staff are courteous and helpful. This is actually theme tourism. I liked the experience.

You needed to change from taxi to a local cab for getting to the hotel. The facilities at the hotel were basic, with the bathroom requiring a lot of improvements. But what the hotel lacked in terms of facilities, they made up with their enthusiastic hospitality.

Food was very nice but very difficult to reach to the hotel for its location inside the castle. Hospitality was appreciable. Not suggested for people who ca not afford stairs. Bengalis must go for the food which is awesome.

Panoramic view of the town from the Hotel Room is very nice.

We felt it was Indecent and unsafe. Certainly do not go if you are visiting with family. They made us to carry all our luggage and from the hotel. Very limited food options. Absolutely no value for money. Rooms were shabby.

The room provided on first day was below standard, even no minimum facilities are available. Only after the complaint was lodged the room was changed which was okay. Approach to the hotel is most inconvenient as the tourists have to carry the luggage for at least 500 meters by walk as no vehicle reaches there. Poorly maintained hotel.

Woke up to an intense urge to run away from routine. Fingers hovered over the keyboard. I took the trip. And to cream my eclair I decided to invite my disgruntled spouse along. Nothing like pain shared. A beautiful room over looking the pool and in the infinity, the bright blue sea breaking her waves aggressively. We had booked in for two nights. Pampered by the hovering anxious staff, walked for miles on the beach watching the fishermen fish off the sea, finished laps in the lovely pool, reminisced at the cosy bar, stuffed ourselves silly at the main restaurant. I would not apologize for talking food.For me it was like having died and gone to MSG free heaven. I could tuck down all this amazing food without a reaction. How cool was that! There were no shortage of smiles, never a request unattended to and an ever omnipresent air of happiness and pride in their work.I must say I have never experienced this atmosphere in all my travels and stays. Stayed August 2013, travelled as a couple.

Hotel location is good because of close vicinity to all tourist places inside the fort. Room service is poor, staff response is very slow. Good ambiance. You can experience good heritage living but with out modern facilities like all time hot water food etc.
