Terrible Stay

Chinmyee homestay was booked and fully paid in advance by me for a family of 3. But, when i reached at property, owner simply declined check in. Reason given to me was that it was not available. When i complained to makemytrip, owner gave reason that some construction work was going on but, i didn't see any construction activity at property, and also i noticed other people staying there that time. I think owner simply gave reservation to another customer, and that too without cancel-ling my reservation or telling me or makemytrip about its unavailability. Highly irresponsible behaviour shown by the property owner. We had to re-book another property through makemytrip, in the sweltering heat on the road, and with challenges like no internet connectivity at location. We also had to compromise on our sightseeing plan for that day. I booked looking at good reviews. But, in my opinion, those reviews don't matter if booked property is unreliable. I would give high importance to the makemytrip listing to be reliable than lot of amenities or other conveniences. Hope makemytrip acknowledges my feedback and take appropriate action to avoid such unpleasant experience for other customers booking for this property. Thanks.
