Woodside Retreat

The stay was very pathetic, property location was not good. It was far away from the main road and all the roads were broken. No facilities have been provided, property was not clean, rooms were also not clean. It cannot be a recommended to anyone.

Just what I was looking for, peaceful and lovely

If you are looking for some mental peace and a short weekend getaway to see the mountains appear and disappear within the clouds, this place is idealistic. You'd also get to meet this beautiful tibetan mastiff named Zafar who happens to be just the icing on the cake. The hospitality too is top notch! What's more could one ask for?

Facility mentioned by owner is totally wrong. Food cooked by so called local chef was pathetic and half cooked. Majority of the living area was unhygienic and lots of broken furniture. Dog food was kept in fridge with human food. No parking was provided until someone banged our car from one side taking side mirror with him. Total bad place with unethical people operating.

The locality is so peaceful. If you are in the search of peace, please do visit that property.

The caretaker at the hotel was not aware of my booking, it took me 10 minutes to locate the reception. Overall, I didn't feel safe staying there as I was traveling with my mom who is a senior citizen and my niece. I canceled my booking and checked into another property.

We had a peaceful time at the homestay. Totally worth spending your money and our room was also auto upgraded to super deluxe. The staff is very compliant serving good food.

I had a wonderful stay, best part was the food and the view. I opted for deluxe room which was alright the only problem was there was no wifi in our rooms, to get the wifi signal we had to go to the common area. Linen and hygiene of the rooms could have been better. Staff was very helpful. Overall I liked it

This is a nice place to stay. My stay was good specially because of a person name Lalit who take care at hotel. Go if want to stay away from crowd and leave with nature. Staff are good. Food quality is also good. No mobile network available which is also good for me. Some problems I faced was No WiFi on my room. No T.V on my room. No news paper given as it is mentioned on MMT. Many other amenities was not provided which is mentioned on MMT site. I have reported and they accepted to change. But even after this also, I will recommend to stay at this hotel and enjoy nature. I have been there last weekend (1st weekend of July) and I love this place , food and location. Staff was indeed nice and pool table is plus point. I booked it but I was unsure if place food and all will be good or not because i have read some of the bad reviews. However after visiting this place my experience was satisfied. If anyone looking for a place to relax and chill then this is must go. We will be planning next with our friends for sure. Don’t forget to try Paneer pakoras (amazing and a big plate).

The stay was nice and peaceful away from the city life amidst nature, the staff and manager were very welcoming, I would definitely recommend this property. If parking facility is made available by the hotel owners then it would become like cherry on cake. This is the only thing I found missing there.

It is a wow factor for the peaceful location. Close to nature. Near 6500 feet height. That is make me great feeling to stay here. Hotel staffs are too much cooperative. Food quality, bonfire, tandoor facility is really good. Special thanks to manager Lalit for making my visit much memorable. I really recommend this place for nature loving people.

The location was very easy to reach, the property and the room were quite clean. Only basic facilities were available. The caretaker was a very helpful person. Only the issues were that there was no view from the room. We had home cooked food which was very tasty. I can surely recommend this place.

Our stay at Woodside was awesome with good food, cleanliness and good staff with great hospitality and services. Loved the scenic beauty and peaceful environment. Truly enjoyed our stay here.

We had gone here to escape the madness of Nainital. However, there was a camp next to our home stay and there was a group who were playing loud music and shouting at the top of their voice. The attendants at our home stay were not bothered to speak with the nearby camp owners to reduce the volume. Also, there is no designated parking and vehicle has to be parked on the road which is not ideal. Location was very good and facilities were also good. Sim network was not there for Vodafone/Airtel, it's network was sporadic. WiFi was also not working after 1 day. Overall, apart from the noisy neighborhood which was due to the ongoing camp, would refer one to this place.
