Located on 31st January Road in old Panjim, the airport is 45 km from Panjim Pousada, the railway station is 12 km while the bus stand is only a kilometres away, across the road. This alternative retreat shares space with an art Gallery. Needles to say, it is unconventional and beautiful, funky and arty. Housing 9 rooms, the property is a part of the Panjim Inn, Panjim Peoples and Panjim Pousada trinity, all run by the same management, who like to call Panjim Pousada a 'vintage hostelry'. Unlike Panjim Inn and Panjim Peoples, this one is has a distinct 'Hindu' architecture with a central courtyard compete with a tulsi (basil) plant around which the rooms are set, and which is the site for many prayers too. Rebuilt in the 1930's, this was the ancestral home of a Ghanekar family. Original artwork adorns the walls and a beautiful Bread fruit tree grows outside in the backyard. Room Amenities The 9 rooms are categorised into Standard (2) and Deluxe rooms (7). The only difference between the two lies in their size. The Deluxe rooms have a balcony and bigger beds. Antique cupboards, four poster beds and old Lamps unobtrusively merge with modern plumbing and air conditioning to create this quiet and serene retreat. One of the Deluxe rooms has an extra dressing room and a beautiful antique wardrobe. The upstairs rooms open to a large, common balcony with vintage chairs and tables, all surrounded by trees. Charming. The rooms at Panjim Pousada are painted pristine white and set off by colourful cotton bedspreads and curtains. Old style red stone floor with faded patterns is charming. Amenities include cable television and mini refrigerator. The washrooms are clean and pretty with little tiles splayed on all surfaces. Amenities here include hot and cold running water and soap. The property does not offer room service as the food can damage the delicate art work and the antiques. Dining and Facilities Since there is no room service, meals are to be had at the restaurant at Panjim Inn, which lies across the road and is a part of the same establishment, the main one in fact. Most facilities therefore are common between the two properties. The reception is at Panjim Inn and that's where the staff stays. Facilities offered include doctor on call and laundry service. Don't Miss Across all the rooms, old liquor bottles have been used to create lamps. Very quaint and funky!
If you are interested in staying in a heritage property in Goa, this property is a good option. They have 3 properties in the street & one art gallery. All are well maintained. Food & service were good. Since one side of the property is adjacent to the main road, you will here automobile noises very often during day time.

The place is very nice to stay. The hotel has heritage looks. The food is excellent. Only feedback l like to give is the cot should have been little lengthier. The cot being closed on head side and leg side, it was not possible to stretch my legs straight.
This hotel is value for money.

Location of the hotel is good and the behavior of the staff was very good totally value for money and if you want to stay in panji then this is the right place for you for everyone low budget or high budget. The breakfast is also good and the location of the room is also good the best part they are not charging to much for the stay with the complimentary water tea coffee, and rooms was clean and all working facility but they need to add the atleast a good tv in the room rest everything was good and I am totally satisfy with their services and I love to go again whenever I will plan for my next Goa trip.
The area is ideal for people who wish to break in Panjim City instead of the bank areas. It is amid in Panjim bizarre latin quarter. Since it was off season, we could accept our allowance from a array of options. The accessories are good, able-bodied maintained and gives you a nice old apple agreeableness of blockage in a ancestry acreage with required amenities. The agents were affable and helpful. Very clean, nice staff, charge-less internet. Hotel apartment are great. I backward at the Inn allotment of it in the front. Although the artery was noisy, the allowance wasn't. Acceptable air conditioning and the allowance backward dry in cloudburst season.

We stayed here for two evenings in January 2014. The room was pleasant, somewhat little, yet very much outfitted with a flat-screen television, little refrigerator/mini-bar, and a safe. The stylistic theme was pleasant, and the overnight boardinghouse were agreeable. The piece of town the inn is in is incredible, as over analysts have said.
The value, then again, wasn't exactly right - it appeared to be excessively extravagant for what was on offer. The Wi-Fi went in and out over and over and was moderate when it was working. Not perfect for transferring the photos you have taken in this photogenic piece of town. The entryways and windows don't seal truly, so solid infiltrates every one of them. During the evening we could hear our wheezing neighbour, and the following morning we could hear our neighbours to the next side having a discussion. There are different choices in the same piece of town where the administration is the same or better, the Wi-Fi works, and the cost is 1000 rupees less every night.
The eatery is likewise overrated. Help yourself out and head one piece over to Viva Panjim for supper rather - 200 rupees less for your primary courses, great lager costs, extraordinary nourishment, and an astounding climate.
