A Serene Escape in the Hills – Velvet Clouds, Munnar I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Velvet Clouds in Munnar, and it was an experience I’ll cherish for a long time. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome with their genuine hospitality and attention to detail. The location is absolutely stunning — nestled amidst lush greenery with panoramic views of the misty hills. Waking up to the sound of birds and the sight of valley was truly magical. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed, offering both comfort and a touch of elegance. We especially loved the balcony view, which made for some peaceful morning coffee moments. What really stood out was the service — friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The food at their in-house restaurant was delicious, with a great variety of local and continental dishes. Everything felt freshly prepared and homely. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway in Munnar with great views, warm hospitality, and modern comforts, Velvet Clouds is a perfect choice. I would highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to this beautiful hill station.

The room we stayed in was truly luxurious, featuring excellent amenities and a stunning view from the balcony. Both breakfast and dinner offered a delightful variety of delicious dishes. The Velvet Clouds Munnar staff provided top-notch service throughout our stay. However, the one downside of this resort is its location on a steep hill, accessible via a narrow, potholed road lined with sand. This made reaching the resort quite challenging, even for sturdy motorcycles like the Royal Enfield. Therefore, I recommend booking this resort only if you have a car and are comfortable navigating a narrow road. Additionally, please note that it is situated about 16 to 20 km from the Munnar city centre. Overall, this resort is a fantastic place to unwind, offering clean rooms, beautiful views, and affordable prices.

The Velvet Clouds Velvet Clouds Munnar has very good ambience, good hospitality, good support staffs, good housekeeping and good tasty/ quality food. Only concern is the route and the location is not as expected, little bit tough route to reach the Velvet Clouds Munnar.
