in Bathroom fittings were Broken, infestation of cockroaches. Linens are not so good. Except for the location of the Hotel nothing was Good.

No restaurant. Very small room. Otherwise room was neat and clean. The house is old kerala house style.

Room was very small. Ac was not working, bathroom full of cockroach. Bed was ok. Bathroom was small.

Varkala Palace is a delightful homestay – a tranquil retreat boasting well-maintained, excellent rooms. The peaceful ambiance is commendable. However, the absence of food services, even for essentials like coffee, tea, and breakfast, is a notable drawback. The overall experience is slightly marred by the lack of dining options. Despite this, it stands out as a bit expensive for what it offers.

I was extremely disappointed with the service i received at your hotel. The room was dirty, the staff was unhelpful. Restaurant is not functioning. Kitchen in the property is shabby look. Not properly cleaned. Room tariff is high and it is situated far away from beach there is no hotels nearby this property i would not recommend this hotel to anyone

Delux rooms are not for 3 adults. Don’t fall into the trap of less price for 3 people in a room. Place is good. But a good place will only take you to 2 star rating when hotel service is terrible

We had booked 2 double rooms. The beds in 1 of the rooms were so small, we had to switch rooms with our daughter. The bathroom towel rail was broken so there was nowhere to hang the towel. There are no showers in the bathroom and the bathroom is tiny. No toilet paper is provided, not is any mosquito repellent coil, no drinking glasses or water. The only saving grace was radhakrishnan the manager and his assistant who were very helpful and pleasant. This place has a lot of potential, but at this time does not live up to the palace in its name.

Nice ambience but still it's not a beach resort it's bit expensive. And non ac rooms was very pathetic for 2000 rs and we forced to purchase ac rooms for additional 500 rs paid. Total 2500 no break fast facility near by

Please be informed that i do not want to publish the rating and want to defame the property/ owners but want to highlight the issues to the responsible authority for making it better. The property was good but the bed was as hard as wood. Linen were good and the cleanliness was substandard. The room was full of dust with spider webs on the ceiling. We consulted a physician in varkala due to heavy sneezing. Bathrooms were tolerable. I can easily compare the bathroom accessories with sulabh sowchalaya and will sulabh on a higher standard considering the quantum of people using sulabh toilets and the comparative hygiene issues. Unfortunately i don't have images and requesting you to highlight the issues with the property owner.

I paid 2200 for the room (including taxes. I recently visited varkala many times and stayed at various stays for less than 2000 rupees, from that experience i expected a mediocre stay but to my wonder, the stay was awful. The interaction with the house owner was also terrible. The non ac room was small with a small bed. There wasn’t even a blanket. The toilet was really awful. Just looking similar to government hospital toilets. I have seen far better rooms for cheaper prices, that’s why i’m writing such a bad review.

Just 1 km from varkala beach. A budget hotel with no dining facility. Room was spacious. Linen was old, could have been better. Caretaker is helpful.

I guess the professionalism is lacking at varkala palace. It feels more like home stay. Wireless router is not reachable to your room. We had to leave early at 3:30 to visit padmanabhan swamy temple. But there was a lock put at the main gate. We had to wake up the caretaker who felt bit irritated. There were also some unknown locals visiting the place in the evening arguing themselves. Overall architecture of the house is from old time which looks very aesthetic to eyes but its a homestay and not a hotel.

Location was good, easily accessible. Problem was with food as they used to procure from outside. Rooms were very small with no provision for keeping the luggage. Tv was of prehistoric type

All basic things are taken care. Room and bathroom were clean. Wardrobe was not provided in the room

I had booked this place for a friend of mine, as it was new yr all others resorts has a hike in their price, this was ok and economical for that price and a good place to be
