The Hosteller Kasar Devi | Rooms & Dorms

Hey team, though we agreed on call for giving details review, here it is. The property feel is amazing. All the wood work, but sadly my main concern for such low rating is: 1. The property highly demands for repair. I was lucky not to die from falling from the common area balcony, the other day. The railing of the balcony broke. In the same area, the wooden floor is breaking. Sweaking noices very badly. 2. Few rooms (204) is not hygienic, the toilet komod is broken and bounces, such a smell due to the same in the whole room. Now the good parts: 1. Ran-veer (manager) is literally running this location business, he is such a nice guy. Even awake at late hours. Hosting people to the best. I mean literally just as a random guest, go to this place. Meet him, you will get comfortable and positive vibes due to this guy. And as soon as you have a problem he attends, brings you food even himself in case of heavy footfall to the hours. And try to make you smile by talking out of the problem faced and meanwhile also resolving it. I came there on nova 8th till nova 11'24 and we were around 12-15 people who became friends with him and hence we enjoyed our stay. 2. Staff here is really helping. As soon as we told the wooden are breakage, they all patched it up in no time. But still major repair is something they can't do themselves. I am pretty sure ranveer must have told about such issues, i cannot believe he won't. So now it's on to the hos-teller management team to provide the necessary funding and repair to the property and make it less risky for our lives. Until then i would suggest not to go here people! or at-least stay alerted on the floors! but do go for ranveer's and the staff company and the serene location.

I had a fantastic solo stay at Kasar Hostler. The staff was helpful, My room was spacious and comfortable, with excellent amenities. The location was perfect for exploring the city, and I loved the cozy common areas that encouraged interaction with other guests. Room is spacious and clean with all facilities. There are too many monkeys, so inspite of balcony, it cannot be opened. Location is good, but there are no views from property unlike other stays. Overall vibe not as lively as other zostel experiences.

The place is really nice and cozy. Food could be a little better. Bread pakoras were awesome. Staff is very warm and welcoming. Overall great stay

It was nice trip towards Almora, such a beautiful stay at Kasar Devi, exploring Kasar Devi Temple, Jageshwar and many more.

Overall good experience but the place needs maintenance and deep cleaning, the rooms & beds are really cold.

It was great stay very cozy for solo traveller very warm and freindly environment had a great time.
