The Himalayan Nest

I recently travelled with my family, and staying at this place felt nothing short of being at home. I just can’t stop talking about Shahid Ji, who made our travel and stay incredibly memorable. This review is something I had to write because he truly deserves every bit of appreciation. From the moment we connected with him—even before our journey began—his support, warmth, and genuine hospitality were beyond anything we could have imagined. He is a pure soul, with pure intentions of helping people and making them feel at ease. He guided us so well throughout the trip, and no matter what time we called him for help, he was always there—ready to assist with a smile. Finding such a sincere and selfless person in the midst of a journey is nothing short of a blessing from God. Coming to the stay—the property is located in a wonderfully serene area. The view from our window was breathtaking; it made us want to just stay there and soak in the beauty rather than go anywhere else. The accommodation was spotless, well-maintained, and incredibly comfortable. And the food? Absolutely delicious and full of love! Thank you, Shahid Ji, for being the amazing person you are. Your help with our cabs, your constant presence, and your heartfelt hospitality made our trip unforgettable. If we ever plan to come back to Kashmir, it will be because of you and this lovely stay.

We stayed two nights at Shahid bhai’s home in April 2025, and he and his family made us feel truly at home. This home has a beautiful view and is a must-experience stay. The location was perfect—just 20 minutes from Gulmarg—which made it easy to explore Shepherd’s Valley, Eco Village, Drung Waterfall, and catch the early morning Gondola. As we left, me, my brother, and my friend had tears in our eyes. These memories will always stay close to our hearts❤️

This is my first time of reviewing a home stay.. but i cannot stop myself to giving reviews regarding The Himalayan Nest home stay at tang marg .. it was a great stay and fabulous service by Sajid.. one should must try to stay here .. this is one of best stay of my whole tour … thanks Sajid bhai for your great service.. room And food deserves 5 star …thanks Regards

all the amenities were very good,dispite of the cold you will not feel any discomfort as the The Himalayan Nest provides you with a in room bukhari and electric blankets on your bed the rooms are clean and well maintained and the bathroom was the best with all the required aminities best place to stay near gulmarg

The property is located in a beautiful environment that is peaceful and lets you enjoy the real beauty of kashmir. The host, SHAHID MALIK, was very welcoming and helpful. He provided us a taxi that took us from the homestay to GULMARG GONDOLA.
