The Deer Meadows

I had a very unpleasant experience during my stay. The room tiles were damaged, and since I was staying with my children, it felt unsafe — if they played without slippers, they could easily hurt their toes. I requested a room change, but the staff refused, saying that another guest had just checked out and had not raised any complaints. The food was also extremely overpriced — two idlis cost ₹90. Overall, it was a very poor experience and I would not recommend this place to others.

Property was calm and peaceful, food was upto the mark. Enjoyed the climate

It was thrilling and adventurous saty . we was lucky to Sight a Lepord hunting a Deer . it was around 5 in the evening me n my wife was having our coffee at a bench facing the forest. suddenly the deers started giving alarm calls . We Wait quietly with in 5 min A Lepord jumped from the grass n cought the deer . it's was really amazing to watch the wild life in a close range with the comfort of a coffee. This property is connected with Mudumalai forest . Lots of animals movment in the property. Highly recommended if you love wild life . Cottages were very comfortable and wash rooms was super clean . food delicious too

Very good location, just next to forest. Superb hospitality by Govind and team. Very quick response to anything we ask for. Had wonderful home cooked food. Enjoyed the stay .With all the renovation work completed, it will be a very good place to stay in the wilderness.

The property's location, the vibes, staff, ambience, peace everything was perfect. Got to see wild elephants from our stay, will visit again!!

Location is pristine and amazing. Reason for low ratings is the service. Room was stinky and when we asked the cleaner to spray some room freshner he ignored. Outside food not allowed is understandable; but when u order food in-house and it took 45mins to be given. Caretaker was new and has no experience handling guests. He spoke very rudely. No toiletries and towels given. Even drinking water was only after requesting for it.

Location is deep inside the forest ,amenities is decent but don’t expect luxury resort level facilities .its very simple but very peaceful place and very close to nature . Ideal retreat and you can spot lot of deers and elephants from the resort itself. Food is home made and very tasty . Enjoyed the stay and would recommend for a good getaway from the maddening city and rush

First of all, the resort is located at a place where only 1 small car can go at once. By any chance if an another car comes in opposite side, then we are stuck in the middle. 5ft road may be… The room is quiet okay. But the tiles flooring were went down broken and we can see the surface which is disturbing to walk around. We are coming all the way from other state. We asked owner for a good food. He refused that they can’t cook food as per our wish. He could have informed gently. But The way he yelled on us is hurting in all means.Such a rude behaviour from the owner making us feeling bad and regret for booking such a resort. Strongly not recommended..

The property was maintained well and the room were hygeine. During stay there was road work going on so it was little bit difficult reach the location. The place was worth the price but we need to be careful with our surroundings. We can easily spot deers and elephant also. We encountered the elephant at night and once in a lifetime experience. It crossed behind our stay and went towards the forest nearby. Overall the stay was awesome and thanks for razz who taken care of us well and the food was so taste and good. Thanks deer meadows for the stay. Note: if you are afraid of elephants just embrace yourself and be careful

A wonderful place for nature lovers and for those wanting to get away from the hustle and grind of life in general. Situated adjacent to the forest, deers are in plain sight for everyone to see each dawn & dusk which we found very delightful. During our stay, we were very lucky to spot a single tusker elephant in the premises at around 5. 30 am. The big guy was just grazing off the tender bamboo plants in campus & walked off into the forest before sunrise. It was thrilling yet safe. Once in a lifetime experience for us. The resident staff were courteous and were very responsive to our needs. The food prepared fresh in house & enjoyed by all alike. I definitely recommend checking this place out and if you are in luck, you may even spot a wild elephant without even leaving your room.

Booked through make my trip but was a bit disappointed with the facilities and the amount charged way too high. The rooms were minimalistic. During summer it is very hot and without ac it was discomforting. The location was at forest edge but the approach road was very very bad. To our bad timing, the road was being concreted so our car was made to park about 1 km away and an auto was provided to ferry us to and from the resort. Nights and mornings were pleasant. The resort is being looked after by 3 persons, one of whom is the cook. Homely food was a saving grace. The menu was limited and we had to inform what we wanted. The toiletries were one toothbrush a small tube of paste and one small travel soap. The room in which we stayed had sunken floor and tiles were broken which made it a bit dangerous to walk on. I wish that make my trip relook at such places before recommending it as top resort.

The hotel approach road was very narrow and the room was very tight. Hence we didn’t spend anytime

Absolutely magical place to unwind and reconnect with nature. Great hospitality caring staff lovely food. Beautifully crafted cottages. Deers and other animals, birds visiting your doorstep is a treat. If they come up with some entertainment for kids like a slide n swing kids too will have a better experience.
