Nice haveli experience with value for money. Location is just fine. The only one problem is that they don't have chef 24 x 7, after 11 pm you have to sleep empty stomach if you haven't had your food. Lol. Overall nice place, market place and sindhi camp bus stand is also just nearby.

Location of the hotel was good. As for services, I wasn't satisfied with the food. Taste was pathetic as compared to Rajasthani style food. They need to work on that. Hotel interiors was very nice but the privacy part was missing as you can hear everything from a room, what is going on outside and vice versa.
I never had experience like this in my life. I have travel across the world but in this Hotel I had very pathetic experience with their commitment and way of talk at the front desk. After asking for towel and soap they took 30 mins to give and telephone was not working whenever I have to call at reception I have to make call from my personal no. As they have mentioned "SUPER DELUXE ROOM" they have given me very local types of room simple with very dirty room. Imagine came to this hotel as my Honeymoon night. Has very bad experience there because of that stupid people. I would suggest you not to believe with there commitment.
I feel like never ever trust this Hotel as well as MAKEMYTRIP. COM.
I need my money back .. Very bad experience will remember always as my first night planned there to spend.
Heritage Property in a Budget ....

We had planned a trip to Jaipur by road from Lucknow (a distance of almost 600 kms via Agra, Bharatpur), and were looking at a hotel that would be centrally located (near to all major attractions), had parking space and most importantly was coming in the budget we had allocated for hotels during the trip. Did a lot of research on TripAdvisor, Holiday IQ and other similar sites, based on the feedbacks, zeroed on 5-6 properties in Jaipur (mostly in the Bani Park area). Then started looking at the best price they could offer. We contacted the hotels directly and also tried comparing the rates they offered with the rates on various sites like Makemytrip, FindMyStay etc. After a long exercise, we finalised Sajjan Niwas based on the rates offered by them to us directly (for 2 adults and one child) on CP (including breakfast). These rates were much lower than what was being offered on various hotel booking sites.
The experience of booking with them was nice and more or less hassle free. We deposited an advance of Rs. 2000. 00 (not the entire amount for our stay) and got the reservation confirmation promptly.
We reached Jaipur in the evening by around 5. 00 pm. Locating Sajjan Niwas was not much of a problem. Location wise the property is located in neat, clean and peaceful area which has residential apartments in the vicinity (just behind the collectorate). ATMs of many banks are in the walking distance along with a departmental store. All the tourist attraction points including the Amer Fort area are not very far off from the property.
The exterior of the hotel or the haveli is nicely done with the entrance decorated with peacock frescos. The check-in was hassle free. We were informed that the parking is done in front of the hotel (there is no inside parking - but that is not a problem as the road ends at Sajjan Niwas, they have cameras in the area where vehicles are parked, its properly lit and secure). There is another property right next to it - Umaid Bhawan which also has similar parking arrangements.
The property has a very nice heritage feel to it. Ample use of traditional Rajasthani frescos in the entire building enhances the heritage feel. Each floor has a lobby area with traditional wooden furniture, ideal to spend those lazy evenings. The hotel does not have a lift, which was not a problem, as this is a heritage property and we were not expecting modern features like this. The advantage of such arrangement is that you get the view of the lobby of each floor.
The reception is right at the entrance. Move inside, on your right hand side, the swimming pool is located. (We did use the pool during our stay)
We were given a room on ground floor (are. No. 109) when we checked in. The room was huge, it did not have a front view, but it made up for that with its size, traditional style furniture, a big wash room and yes a huge bed. In fact the bed was large enough to accommodate 4-5 people, almost the size of 2 king size double beds.
We were tired and want to go out for dinner. We were informed that they have a dining area on the roof top which is operational for dinner from 7. 00 pm onwards. We opted to have our dinner here and we regret the decision. The dining area at the roof top has open areas and partially closed areas. The decor is beautiful. It was Dusshera when we had checked in, the roof top dining area gave us a memorable experience on that day - we could enjoy the fireworks display that were happening in the city, enjoy the lovely cool wind and not to forget the food. The food was to our taste - not too spicy and not to forget the tawa chapattis. The food quality, taste and quantity along with the ambience, was the main reason why we never ate dinner outside during our entire stay. In fact on the last night of our stay there was a traditional Rajasthani puppet performance in the dining area- a unforgettable experience for my son, who not only interacted with the artists but also picked up some tips on a puppet performance.
The breakfast also was served in the dining area. The breakfast again had many options Poori Bhaji, Corn Flakes, Poha, Bread Toast, Omelette etc. One could have multiple refills of all the items.
Next day our room was changed to are. 302. This was the room which we occupied during our entire stay post the first night. We never asked for it but were informed that this was the room which was originally blocked for us, but the guest staying there checked out late, that's the reason we were given the earlier room. This room was on the 2nd floor, facing the pool/road. The room was really good, the walls including the rooms had traditional frescos. The furniture was traditional, the washroom had a very royal feel to it. The room had a small balcony too with sitting arrangements for two.
The entire team at Sajjan Niwas was very courteous and helpful. Their warmth and hospitality made our trip to Jaipur a memorable trip. My son has already announced that for the next trip we would again stay at the same property.
PS - Last year we had stayed in another heritage property in Guwahati and we found a big difference in the hospitality - on a scale of 1 to 10 Jaipur property would be 8 and Guwahati property would be 4.

At first the hospitality is the worst ever at reception they don't even respond and listen to your views, they are impolite and that makes you feel terrible. I was primary visitor carrying my ID, but they do not let me check in until I presented my wife's Id. It's Pathetic, the hotel was kind of nice, but location is too far away from main road and remotely located. It took an hour to search for the hotel and the reception Person was kind of fishy and snoopy, so beware and be cautious, specially for married couples!!
